Enerji güvenliği konusu üst düzey siyasi irade ve<br />
ekonomik kaynaklarla planlanması ve uygulanması<br />
gereken siyasi mevzuları kapsar. Enerji güvenliği<br />
açısından da önemli etkilere sahip olan iklim<br />
değişikliği konusunda olduğu gibi, önemli küresel<br />
platformlar ve politika mekanizmaları tarafından<br />
enerji güvenliği alanında koordinasyon politikaları<br />

G20 etkili bir şekilde konuyu ele alabilir mi?<br />
G20 çatısı altında bir araya gelen taraflar arasında<br />
Rusya, Suudi Arabistan ve ABD gibi en büyük enerji<br />
üreticileri ile Çin ve Japonya gibi en fazla enerji tüketen<br />
ülkeler bulunuyor. Bu ülkeler ve G20’nin diğer<br />
üyeleri küresel enerji konuları üzerinde önemli söz<br />

Önemli Bir Proje<br />
Güney Gaz Koridoru projesi, Avrupa’nın enerji güvenlik<br />
stratejisi için yeni kaynaklardan enerji tedarik<br />
eden ve mevcut arz yapısı için alternatif güzergah<br />
oluşturacak kilit bir proje. Bu proje ayrıca<br />
doğal gaz tedarik kaynaklarına doğrudan erişimi<br />
olmayan Batı Balkanlardaki ülkelere de doğal gaz<br />
getirecek. Proje, hem hükümetler hem de şirketler<br />
arasındaki ortaklık ve işbirliğinin değerli bir örneğidir.<br />
6 ülke ve 13 şirket, 45 milyar dolarlık bu<br />
değer zinciri oluşumunun bir parçası. Güney Gaz<br />
Koridoru, dünyadaki diğer bölgelerin sürdürülebilir<br />
enerjiye güvenli bir şekilde erişim sağlayabilmesi<br />
açısından büyük önem taşıyan bir proje.<br />

Why does issue require high level attention?<br />
The question of energy security embodies policy issues<br />
that needs to be devised and executed with high level<br />
political will and economic resources. As in the case of<br />
climate change (which has significant implications for<br />
energy security as well) the policy coordination in the<br />
area of energy security has to be handled by the highest<br />
global platforms and policy mechanisms.<br />
Can the G20 effectively address the issue?<br />
Parties that convene under the G20 umbrella include<br />
largest producers of energy such as Russia,<br />
Saudi Arabia and USA and also countries that are<br />
big energy consumers such as China and Japan.<br />
These countries and other G20 members have significant<br />
say over the energy matters of the globe<br />
and G20 would be one of the most appropriate platforms<br />
to tackle the question.<br />
Southern Gas Corridor: A Case for the European<br />
Energy Security<br />
Southern Gas Corridor project is key to the energy<br />
security strategy of Europe bringing new volumes<br />
of energy from new sources and alternative route<br />
to the existing supply structure. It will also bring<br />
natural gas to the countries in the West Balkans<br />
that lack direct access to natural gas supplies.<br />
The project is a valuable example of partnership<br />
and collaboration among both governments and<br />
private companies. 6 countries and 13 companies<br />
are involved in creation of this 45 billion USD<br />
worth value chain. SGC project can constitute a<br />
highly effective case for energy partnership in securing<br />
Access to the sustainable energy for other<br />
regions of the globe as well.<br />

atmosphere, the G20 Summit under Turkey’s<br />
presidency will focus on a number of key issues<br />
and new significant agenda topics, and<br />
