The new recorded pieces are as follows: (1) garland sarcophagus withtwo late Se<strong>ve</strong>ran portrait busts belonging to one Apollonios Klaudianos, madefor himself, his wife, Ammia, and his daughter Glykonis (S-716); (2) anothergarland sarcophagus with two late Se<strong>ve</strong>ran busts, made by a man whose nameis not preser<strong>ve</strong>d, for himself and his wife, Meltine, as well as for another wifeAurelia Auxesis and their son Philetos (S-715); (3) garland sarcophagus withtwo male portrait busts, belonging to M.Aurelius Zenon, for use by himselfand his sons, later inscribed on the lid as belonging to one Elpidios (S-709); (4)inscribed sarcophagus lid belonging to someone who is a son of one Apollonios,son of Kasyeris(?), (S-729); (5) an unusual inscribed garland sarcophagus withDionysian masks that stands a little outside normal attested Aphrodisianproduction, belonging to a woman called Aurelia Apphia, which she had madefor her use alone (S-730) (Fig. 7) – it was found further away, some kilometresto the southeast of Aphrodisias, near Ataeymir, at the Ozanli cemetery; and (6)a small unfinished uninscribed columnar sarcophagus (S-717), found in the NESector of the site, during clearing of old village walls in connection with the newmuseum construction.Other new finds. Other finds of car<strong>ve</strong>d marble were recorded and studied.Among the most important are: (1) a fragmentary relief from the east city wallshowing a complex series of arena scenes (07-31), and (2) a large satyr headwearing a pine wreath found clearing the area immediately north of the newmuseum building (07-30).Other monuments. Publication projects were also pursued on the following:the mythological reliefs from the Civil Basilica (Bahadır Yılıdırım), the statuesfrom the Bouleuterion (Christopher Hallett), and the statues from the SebasteionPropylon (Julia Lenaghan). A statue from the Propylon (80-151), formerlyhypothesised to belong on a base for Aemilia Lepida (82-210) from the samecontext, was tested on the base and found to ha<strong>ve</strong> clamp cuttings that alignperfectly between statue and base (Fig. 8). Further study drawings were madeof the Blue Horse for its e<strong>ve</strong>ntual reconstruction in the new museum building(Nicholas Quiring). A manuscript concerning the mythological relief panels fromthe Agora Gate (by Pascale Linant de Bellefonds) was prepared for publicationand checked against the pieces (Christopher Knutson, Sarah Madole). Ten newfragments were added to the catalogue and an important join was made of ahead of a Trojan hero (87-363: Paris, Anchises, Ganymede?) to a relief from theseries that features an enigmatic pastoral subject (77-75) (Fig. 9).
