ELT Student Teachers’ Evaluations of Their Program In Terms ofReflective Teaching*Neslihan Özkan **Gülşen Demir **Cem Balçıkanlı ***AbstractReflective teaching has become a central concern in the history of language teacher education in recent years. The central question iswhether reflective teaching is implemented in ELT Programs around the globe. This study aimed at investigating ELT student teachers’evaluations of their ELT program with a specific focus on reflective teaching in Turkey. A questionnaire, consisting of 6 themes with 25questions, was administered to 242 senior ELT student teachers. The findings display that overhelming majority of student teachers believethat their ELT program is implementing a reflective-teaching-based-approach with a view to helping its student teachers to critically reflecttheir own teaching practices.Key words: Reflective Teaching, ELT, Student Teachersİngilizce Öğretmenliği Öğrencilerinin Lisans Programlarını Yansıtıcı ÖğretimAçısından DeğerlendirmeleriÖzetSon yıllarda, yansıtıcı öğretim dil öğretmeni yetiştirme programlarında önemli bir yere sahip olmuştur. Bu konudaki temel soru yansıtıcıöğretimin dünya çapında İngiliz Dili Eğitimi programlarında kullanılıp kullanılmadığıdır. Bu çalışmanın amacı , özellikle Türkiye’de kiyansıtıcı öğretim göz önüne alındığında, İngiliz Dili Eğitimi bölümlerindeki öğretmen adayı öğrencilerin bölümlerindeki programı nasıldeğerlendirdiklerini araştırmaktır. 6 tema çerçevesinde 25 soruyu kapsayan anket 242 adet İngiliz Dili Eğitimi bölümü öğretmen adayıöğrencilerine verilmiştir.
