1Okuduğunu Anlama Yeterliliğinde 2012 PISA Sonuçlarına Göre En Düşük PuanAlan GDA Bölgesindeki Öğretmenlerin İncelenmesi: Gaziantep İli ÖrneğiY. Gürcan Ültanır1ÖzetGüneydoğu Anadolu bölgesi 2012 PISA sonuçlarında Türkiye genelinde an alt sırada yer almıştır. PISA sınavına katılanlarınortalama olarak 15 yaş ortaokul ve/veya lise öğrencileridir. Bu yaş grubu öğrencilerin anadilde okuduğunu anlama becerilerininkazanılmasında en etkili olan öğretmenler ilköğretim okulu I. kademedeki ilkokul öğretmenleri ve II. kademe ile liselerde görevliolan Türkçe / Türk Dili ve Edebiyatı dersi öğretmenleridir. Araştırmanın evreni Gaziantep ili ve ilçelerinde 2012-2013 öğretimyılında bu okullarda görevli olan öğretmenlerdir. Kolayda örnekleme yöntemiyle örneklem grup oluşturulmuştur (n=407). Friedrichve Madl'ın (1992) okuduğunu anlama stratejilerinden yapılan anket soruları örneklem gruba uygulanmıştır. Hipotezler, Ki-kareanaliziyle test edilmiştir. Örneklem gruptaki öğretmenlerin %83'ü (n=338) Doğu Akdeniz, Doğu Anadolu, Güneydoğu Anadolucoğrafi kökenlidir. Test edilen hipotez sonuçları şunlardır: Öğretmenlerin görevli oldukları okul türlerine atanmasında, mezunoldukları fakültelerdeki alanları, okul türlerine göre farklılık göstermektedir; Coğrafi kökenleri anne-baba yanındaki okumaalışkanlıklarına göre, atandıkları okul türlerine göre, mesleki kıdemlerine göre farklılık göstermektedir; Kıdemleri gazete okumasıklığına göre, bir metinde geçen anlamını bilmedikleri bir sözcükle uğraşma yollarına göre, bir gün boyunca okumak için ayrılanzamana göre farklılık göstermektedir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Coğrafi köken; ailede kazanılan okuma alışkanlıkları; okuma stratejileri; gazete / dergi / magazin okumasıklıkları; haber türleri; anlamı bilinmeyen sözcüklerle uğraşma yollarıAn Analysis of the Teachers on duty in the Southeastern Region of Anatolia whichhas the Lowest Rank in PISA 2012 in terms of Reading Comprehension Skills:Gaziantep CaseAbstractSoutheastern Region of Anatolia has the lowest rank among other regions in Turkey in 2012 PISA results. Students attending toPISA examination are mostly 15 year-old secondary and/or high school students. The primary school teachers in the first level ofprimary education and the teachers giving Turkish/ Turkish Language and Literature in second level of primary education and alsohigh schools are the most influential ones in gaining reading comprehension skills in native language. The population of this study isthe teachers on duty in primary education and high schools in Gaziantep district in 2012-2013. The sampling is formed with the helpof convenience sampling technique (n=407). The questionnaire based on the reading strategies of Friedrich and Madl (1992) wasapplied to the sampling. Hypotheses are tested via Chi-square analysis. The geographical origins of %83 of teachers (n=338) areEastern Mediterranean, Eastern Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia Regions.
