Loe 91 (7 Iune)The locality is situated high up on the E side of Sinaptepe, in themiddle region of the Middle Sinap Series. Discovered in 1992, the fossilseroding out of the slope included associated Hipparion dentitions andseveral paıtial ovibovine crania with horn cores as well as other remains, totally 51 catalogued specimens. The exeavation produced altogether 97 catalogııed specimens, bringingthe total up to 148. These included several sets of associated elements, such as the neck veıtebrae of Hipparion and some of the firstgood-quality rhinoceros post cranial material recovered from Sinap bythe present project. The locality also prodııcedsome of the first good postcranial material referrable to the newlyrecognised carrıivore family Percrocutidae (Werdelin & Solounias, 1991).Probably the most impoıtant discovery, however, was that of a horseskull definitely identifiable as a member of the "Hippotherium" primigeniumcomplex.
