SERDAR SAYAN: “I DON’T EXPECT A RISK OF CRISIS
FOR TURKISH ECONOMY”
The monthly guest of our last volume of magazine is one of the prominent academicians
in Turkey , Prof.Dr. Serdar Sayan , Vice Dean of the Economics and
Administrative Science Faculty of TOBB-ETU and Director of Social Policies Implementation
and Research Center. With the opporunity of this very cheerful
interview, we had the chance to have Sayan’s views on the impacts of economic
crisis to Turkey’s 2023 targets. By the fact that Serdar Sayan does not find
the claims on Turkey’s to become among the first 10 economies in the world,
however he adds that such a target is very positive and meaningful.

MORTEM, AESTHETICS AND LATITUDE AT
SEYYID KUDBIDDIN’S TOMB
Seyyid Kudbiddin’s Tomb is located at Kökçüoğlu Quarter of İlkadım District.
Entombing process that reveals similarities with Turkish-Islamıc History
has been started to be emerged with paleographic assessments.
Through these assesments it is possible to find out the establishment dates
of the social complex and the tombs and some reflections of social and
natural events that took place in the city within the centuries.
SAMSUN’S ICAN TREET: MECİDİYE
Elder generation can remember; the famous activity for the youth was to pace in
Mecidiye in the afternoon. After the school, the young
students used to pace on Mecidiye within groups. The
famous street for the visitors from different cities for shopping
was also the Mecidiye.The best known stores were
located on there. Furthermore, the first covered bazaar
Aynalı Çarşı (Mirror Bazaar) has also been located onthis
street and still continues to serve.
