In this thesis, solution mining method, one of the subsurface mining methods,
has been studied. Due to the fact that solution mining is a rarely applied method,
engineering know-how about this method has been presented by researching its
applications globally. Since the method is also applied at Soda Sanayi A.Ş. Arabali Salt
Mine located in the Zeytinli Village of Adana, it has also been supported by necessary
data from Arabalı Salt Mine to shed light on the operation of typical salt deposits in our
region and underground natural gas storage potential.
Key Words: Solution Mining, Leaching, Salt.
