Born on the 23 rd of June, 1992 at Edith Opperman Maternity Clinic in the historic<br />

Early Life<br />

Mbare National Township, <strong>Nutty</strong> O is the eldest in a family of 4.<br />

Throughout his childhood, he had to relocate several times as his parents were<br />

separated. This resulted in <strong>Nutty</strong> O enrolling at 3 different primary schools namely<br />

Mberi, Zengeza 7, and Dzivarasekwa 6. His secondary school education was done at<br />

Glenview 1 High School and St. Peters Kubatana. The talented artist who refers to<br />

himself by a charade of colloquial names such notably Africaz Finest, did his<br />

Advanced level studies at Cranborne Boys High School in Harare were he took up<br />

commercial subjects.<br />

Music is not the only special endowment that <strong>Nutty</strong> O has been blessed with. In 6 th<br />

Grade while enrolled at Dzivarasekwa Primary School, he became Cricket Captain<br />

earning himself the nickname “Sachin Tendulkar” a bit later in life. <strong>Nutty</strong> O also<br />

displayed amazing talent on the Soccer pitch yet again earning himself the nickname<br />

Zinedine Zidane after the phenomenal Frenchman.<br />

Career<br />

<strong>Nutty</strong> started professional recording at Cashlibs Studio when he was 21. That is when<br />

the mustard seed was sown as his career has been on a progressive growth since then.<br />

It wasn’t long before Radio stations and the general public started showing some love<br />

for <strong>Nutty</strong> O’s musical creations.<br />

• 2013 o Started professional recording with Cashlibs Funkidalic at<br />

Cashlibs Studios<br />

• 2014 o First Zimbabwean artist to be featured on Dj. Edu’s<br />

Afrodancehall show on BBC 1xtra with “Kwandabva Kure”<br />

Kwandabva Kure made it to the top of the DNA chart and climbed<br />

to the #3 spot. This was a great motivation for <strong>Nutty</strong> O.<br />

Life Philosophy<br />

<strong>Nutty</strong> O is a strong believer in God. He believes that all wishes and prayers aligned<br />

with complementary action will never fail in life. Some of the traits that the young<br />

wise artist embraces are straightforwardness, humility, and loyalty.<br />

<strong>Nutty</strong> wishes to advise all aspiring artists that, “no matter how hard it may be for<br />

you to achieve anything you want in life, courageously make a decision to persist the<br />

pursuit until you get there because it is possible.”<br />

Inspiration<br />

<strong>Nutty</strong> O is a self-driven individual whose need to achieve greatness is his supreme<br />

inspiration. Jamaican music also played a very inspirational role leading <strong>Nutty</strong> O up<br />

to taking the mic in his infancy. He likes to list the artists that inspired him as Tony<br />

Rebel, Garnett Silk, Sanchez, Lukie D, and Jah Vinci.<br />

The young chanter aspires to be an iconic Zimbabwean International act representing<br />

the country and Africa at large on the global music platform.<br />

His favorite song of all time would be Redemption Song by legendary Jamaican<br />

Reggae superstar Bob Marley because, “it’s a liberation song.”<br />

His dreams go beyond music as <strong>Nutty</strong> O is a young telecommunications engineer in<br />

the making as well. <strong>Nutty</strong> O prefers surrounding himself with positive and loyal<br />

people who see the need to dare change the world.<br />
