Slovo (<strong>Uppsala</strong>), 2010, No. 51Journal <strong>of</strong> Slavic Languages and LiteraturesFrom Figure 1 (and Figure 3), one can see that the majority <strong>of</strong> Slovo readers are inSweden, which is not surprising since Slovo has a long history among SwedishSlavists. Slovo is currently the only scholarly journal in which Slavists can publishtheir articles in Swedish. To commemorate this fact, the editorial board has decided toinvite a scholar in the field <strong>of</strong> Slavic studies from Sweden to write an article inSwedish in each following issue. This change in the policy is already visible in thecurrent issue (see Alexander I. Pereswet<strong>of</strong>f-Morath’s article).Figure 2. Cities in which Slovo has been read.Figure 3.
