Abstract:<br />
This is an academically graduate task which deals with philosophical dialogues with children<br />
and youths in school. In this work I present three different ways of “philosophical dialogues”:<br />
deliberative dialogues, Socratic dialogues and philosophical dialogues. Deliberation regard<br />
communication discus here in the light of the system of values and democracy education<br />
process in school.<br />
The purpose behind my study was to systematize the knowledge of the “philosophical<br />
dialogues” in school and into them find out some qualities which could help to light up and to<br />
discus the elementary values as well as they can add to increase the democratic competence<br />
among pupils in their way to grow up.<br />
The question of my study was: In what way can deliberation and “philosophical dialogues”<br />
with children and youths in school light up and questioner elementary values, occurring in our<br />
society, as well as they can increase democratic competence of the pupils.<br />
In my theoretical research I have studied the inquiry within the area of deliberation and<br />
philosophy with children and a few projects which accomplished in Sweden and in other<br />
countries. In this work I even present two dialogues which I carried through in my school.<br />
The result of my study indicates that deliberation and philosophy with children in school can<br />
light up and questioner elementary values as well as they can increase democratic competence<br />
of the pupils. This occurs in different ways and depends of which kind of dialogues we<br />
choose. In dialogue can youths reach a higher level of their conscious and tolerance which can<br />
lead them to reaching a deeper knowledge of themselves.<br />
Deliberation can even bring engagement and higher intention of influence on their future life.<br />
I hope that this study can be receipted as a “new-old” key to the forgotten door which called<br />
insight.<br />
