Among the activities conducted were tours of the city, university and library; trips to the archipelago and
IKEA; canoeing; themed parties as in January with Sauna and Karaoke; Swedish Sittning; activities in
conjunction with Gö&Co. and so on.
Being part of ESN, CIRC 2011 met with other members of ESN at their meetings. The sponsorship
agreement that was signed by CIRC 2008 with TELE2 via ESN was still in effect and the SIM cards were
delivered as promised. CIRC also sold tickets to the popular "Baltic Cruise - SeaBattle ".
For several years, the CIRC has organized a trip for international students at Chalmers to Kiruna. In 2011,
CIRC made an arrangement with the tour company Scanbaltexperience OÜ to make the trip to Kiruna.
Booking were made online directly by the students with the company with a special discount code.
In 2008, CIRC made an agreement with CCC to have an international team from CIRC. The conditions of
the agreement were that in exchange for a certain amount of work, CIRC and its international team
would be able to build a Cortègevagn for free since it is difficult for the international students to sell
Cortègeprogram. However, in 2011 CCC revoked free participation of CIRC on the aforementioned
conditions citing budget issues and hence CCC and CIRC severed ties with each other and CIRC did not
participate in Cortège2011.
Finally, CIRC 2011 set to work finding a new team for CIRC2012. After discussions surrounding the size of
the team, a decision was reached that a smaller team could be more efficient and hence a team of 7
people were identified. The main change that was made was that the role of activity management was
removed and the responsibility for it spread throughout the team.
