Description of aims for doctors’ speciality training<br />
– Surgery<br />
Introduction<br />
On June 24, 2008 the National Health board announced new publications and<br />
general advice on doctors’ speciality training. The constitution consists of a general part with<br />
common rules for all specialities and specific parts with all mission statements. The mission<br />
statement for each speciality should be read in light of the common rules. Each mission<br />
statement includes the subheading “educational training structure” which consists of general<br />
advice. In addition, the training methods specified under the heading “interim target” where<br />
no follow up is indicated also consist of general advice.<br />
