Concluzii<br />

Spondilodiscita este o problemă a cărei importanţă,<br />

pe <strong>de</strong> o parte, este subestimată sau omisă frecvent,<br />

iar pe <strong>de</strong> altă parte, se agravează pe an ce trece<br />

în contextul unei sporiri a numărului intervenţiilor<br />

chirurgicale pe coloana vertebrală cat și a pon<strong>de</strong>rii<br />

persoanelor vârstnice și imunocompromise.<br />

Diagnosticul spondilodiscitelor este uneori difi -<br />

cil și cunoașterea particularităţilor clinice, precum și<br />

a formelor atipice este indispensabilă pentru stabilirea<br />

unui diagnostic corect și timpuriu. Pe primul plan în<br />

stabilirea diagnosticului discitelor se situează examenul<br />

imagistic (RMN) și cel bacteriologic.<br />

La temelia unui tratament efi cient al spondilodiscitelor<br />

întot<strong>de</strong>auna se va afl a examenul microbiologic,<br />

iar în cazurile în care acesta eșuează, tratamentul va fi<br />

ajustat în funcţie <strong>de</strong> etiologia cea mai probabilă a maladiei,<br />

<strong>de</strong>dusă din situaţia clinică prezentă și ghidată<br />

<strong>de</strong> rezultatele studiilor clinice prece<strong>de</strong>nte.<br />
