Med., 1993, 153, p. 1211–1216.289RezumatConsumul mo<strong>de</strong>rat <strong>de</strong> alcool este asociat ce reducereariscurilor <strong>de</strong>zvoltării patologiei coronariene; consumulexagerat însă creşte mortalitatea provocată <strong>de</strong> ictusul hemoragic.Am examinat relaţia dintre consumul <strong>de</strong> alcool şi riscurile<strong>de</strong> <strong>de</strong>zvoltare a evenimentelor coronariene în următorii10ani la pacienţi cu sindrom metabolic.La 142 <strong>de</strong> pacienţi cu sindrom metabolic au fost evaluaţifactorii <strong>de</strong> risc pentru patologia coronariană. Am evaluatin<strong>de</strong>xul masei corporale (IMC), nivelului colesteroluluitotal (CT), lipoprotei<strong>de</strong>lor <strong>de</strong> <strong>de</strong>nsitate înaltă (HDL) şi <strong>de</strong><strong>de</strong>nsitate joasă (LDL), raportului CT/HDL şi nivelul glicemiei.Profilul riscului cardiovascular a fost măsurat înfuncţie <strong>de</strong> consumul <strong>de</strong> alcool: < 20 ml/zi (nivelul mic),20-50 ml/zi (nivelul mo<strong>de</strong>rat) şi > 50 ml/zi (nivelul înalt).Riscurile <strong>de</strong> <strong>de</strong>zvoltare a evenimentelor coronariene în următorii10ani au fost calculate în acord cu ecuaţia Framingham.Scorul riscului a fost pre<strong>de</strong>finit ca intermediar (≤20%) şi mare (> 20%).Creşterea consumului <strong>de</strong> alcool a fost asociată cu diferenţesemnificative statistic privind IMC – 31,89 ±5,36٭‎±6,18‎ vs 29,45 vs ‏,٭‎32,25±5,65‎ CT‏,(٭p‏3,06, ‏(٭p 50 ml/day (heavy drinking). The10-years risk of cardiovascular events was calculatedaccording to Framingham equation. The risk score werecategorized using pre<strong>de</strong>fined cutoffs as intermediate (≤20%) and high (> 20%).Increasing consumption was associated withstatistically significant difference in BMI (- 31,89 ±5,36 vs٭‎±1,07‎ (5,14 TC p
