Înţelegerea fenomenelor, o bucurie divinăcentrul de cercetare menționat fac parte majoritatea membrilorcatedrei de Fizica Teoretică și Matematici, studenți,masteranzi și doctoranzi. Cadrele didactice au achi zi ționatprin granturile comune câte un calculator și un laptop pecare-l folosesc în exclusivitate. Studenții și masteranzii,membri ai centrului, au acces la un calculator și la o imprimantă.Cei doi doctoranzi ai mei au primit câte un laptop șiacces la internet. Pentru buna desfățurare a seminariilor științificeși a sesiunilor de comunicări am achi zi ționat unvideo-proiector, un ecran și un pointer cu laser.Pot să afirm cu o oarecare mândrie că am asigurat o infrastructurăce nu se gasește în multe locuri din vest.Dotările și cheltuielile de amenajare a sediului su fost asigurate,mai ales în ultimii 10 ani, datorită proiectelor admi -nistrate de CNCSIS: grant A, M3, CERES, CEEX, IDEI.Datorită dotărilor enumerate beneficiarii lucrează culejeritate în windows, linux, folosind programe de grafică,de editare în linux, limbajul tex, editare în power point,editare în excel, programare în Fortran și în Mathematica.Prin fondurile destinate achizițiilor în proiectul de tipM3, am realizat infrastructura necesară organizării de conferințeinternaționale.Școlile internaționale organizate sunt listate în capitolulrezervat manifestărilor științifice. Ultima Școala s-a intitulatCollective Motion and Phase Transitions in Nuclear Systems.La această Școală au participat 50 de străini, profesoriși studenți, și 60 de români. Baza de date legată de aceastămanifestare științifică a fost realizată cu infrastructura centruluide cercetare.Un rol important în popularizarea rezultatelor obținutede echipa de cercetare îl joacă activitatea de diseminare care,de asemenea, nu poate să fie realizată decât pe baza unei infrastructuricorespunzătoare.Între acestea se remarcă site-urile asociate centrului decercetare precum și a proiectelor de cercetare în derulare. Înproiectele la care particip au fost prevazute sume importantepentru achiziția de cărți importante pentru perfecționareatinerilor cercetători. Din păcate, perioada de criză ne obligăsă renunțăm la asemenea achiziții.Resursa umană implicatăEste limpede faptul ca știința este o activitate colectivă,nu se mai poate aborda în izolare. Motivul este dorința comunitățilorștiințifice de a obține rezultate noi cât mai repede.Era computerelor de tip PC și a internetului a facut cacirculația informației să aibă loc cu viteză neașteptat demare. Colaborările inițiate au fost în general cu doctoranziimei. Iată lista acestora: Călin Sabac, Mihail Badea, ValentinCeaușescu, Doru Delion, Ionuț Ursu, Nicolae Săndulescu,Sabin Stoica, Șerban Misicu, Virgil Băran, Cristian Răduță,Diana Rădulescu, Larisa Pacearescu, Radu Budaca, PetricăBuganu. În străinătate mai mulți doctoranzi și-au scris tezelepe baza lucrărilor efectuate în colaborare cu mine: CelsoLima, Manfred Treftz, Oliver Haug, Uve Mayer (toți dinTuebingen), Alberto Escuderos (Madrid). Câțiva masteranziau reușit să publice în perioada studiilor aprofundate: BrândușaCodirla, Pop Mihaela, Adriana Nicmorus. Toți colaboratoriiromâni sunt absolvenți ai Facultății de Fizică,Universitatea din București. Pot afirma că am stabilit olegatură firească între învățământul universitar și activitateade cercetare. La centrul de cercetare pe care-l conduc amimprimat o atmosferă de colaborare, dovadă fiind numărulmare de proiecte științifice câștigătoare la competițiilenaționale.Unele cadre didactice care se limitau la activitateadidactică au fost stimulațe să participe la activități de cercetare. Un exemplu este Dr. F. Aaron, promovat recent conferențiar.I share this office with another two professors. To this centerbelong most of the members of the Department of TheoreticalPhysics and Mathematics, students, masterands,docto rands. Due to the common grants, each member of thestaff received a computer and a laptop both being of personaluse. The masterands and students have access to onecomputer and one printer. Each of the two doctorands whichwork under my supervision got one laptop and access to internet.Aiming at a good presentation of seminars and scientificcomunication sessions, we bought a video-projector, anecran and an electronic pointer.I feel proud to assert that we have an infrastructurewhich cannot be found in many places in Europe.All these computational technic as well as the locationpreparing have been supported from grants administrated byCNCSIS and wone by myself in a competition: grant A, M3,CERES, CEEX, IDEI.Due to this infrastructure, the beneficiars work easily inwindows, in linux using programs for graphics, for edittingin linux, the language of TEX, editting in Power Point,editting in Excel, programming in Fortran and Mathematica.By the funds obtained with a project of type M3 weassured the infrastructure necessary for organizing InternationalConferences. The international summer schools organizedby myself as a director are enumerated in one of thefollowing chapters. The latest summer school is entitledCollective Motion and Phase Transitions in Nuclear Systems.At this meeting participated fifty foreigners, professorsand students, and over sixty romanians. The data base of thisscientific manifestation was created with the help of the infrastructurefrom our research center.An important role in spreading the knowledges relatedto our scientific achievments is played by the diseminationactivity which again cannot be performed without a suitableinfrastructure.Among these it is worth mentioning the web sites of theresearch center as well as of each running project.In the scientific projects which I lead or to which I participate,an important amount of money for buying books,necessary for training the young researcher, have beenforseen. Unfortunately, due to the economical crisis this kindof expenses had to be cut.Human ResourcesClearly, the science is a collective activity and cannotbe performed in isolation. The reason is that the scientificcommunity wishes to obtain new results as soon as possible.The PC computer and internet era determined that the informationcirculation takes place with an unexpected largespeed. Generaly speaking, the initiated collaborations werebetween myself and my doctorands. Here is their list:CalinSabac, Mihail Badea, Valentin Ceausescu, Doru Delion,Ionut Ursu, Nicolae Sandulescu, Sabin Stoica, Serban Misicu,Virgil Baran, Cristian Raduta, Diana Radulescu, LarisaPacearescu, Radu Budaca, Petrica Buganu. Abroad, severaldoctorands wrote their thesis based on common papers:Celso Lima, Mandfred Treftz, Oliver Haug, Uve Mayer (allare from Tuebingen), Alberto Escuderos (Madrid ). Somemasterands succeeded to publish scientific works duringtheir advanced studies. Romanian collaborators graduatedthe Faculty of Physics from Bucharest University. I couldsay that I established a natural link between the educationalprocess and research activity. At the research center I created acooperative atmosphere which resulted in winning manyproject competitions. Some staff members of the PhysicsFaculty were used to be content only with their didactic activity;they have been stimulated to switch to research. Anexample is Dr. F. Aaron who was promoted to the positionof Associate Professor due to his recent publications.6
