Debutul propriu-zis a avut loc la începutul anilor'80 şi s-a finalizat cu o teză de doctorat "Contribuţii la studiulrelaţiei dintre efectul radiobiologic şi imunitatea antitumoralăîn cancerul experimental". Înfiinţarea laboratoruluide Imunologie Tumorală în 1986 a permis după 1990 accesareade granturi şi abordarea unor subiecte din ce în ce maicomplexe: subgrupe, specificitate şi activitate antitumoralăa celulelor NK, mecanismele de proliferare în limfoamelemaligne, apoptoza ca factor de reglare a ciclului celular încarcinomul renal şi mamar, profilul secreţiei de citokine îndiagnosticul şi monitorizarea evoluţiei tuberculozei pulmonare,caracterizarea subseturilor limfocitare de la nivelulinterfeţei materno-fetale în sarcina normală şi patologică,noi ţinte celulare şi moleculare în terapia cu orientare sprepacient a tumorilor maligne - o abordare genomică şi proteomică;criterii de selecţie a metodelor terapeutice în cancerulhepatic secundar: fundamentare clinico-biologică şimoleculară, consecinţele biologice ale termonecrozării cuvapori de apă sub presiune în metastazele hepatice de ori gi -ne colorectală, studiul molecular al implicării genelor BRCAîn predispoziţia ereditară la cancerul mamar şi ovarian launele familii cu risc din nord-estul României, studiul mutaţiilorFLT3 în recăderile din leucemia mieloidă acută,cercetări epidemiologice privind influenţa factorilor reproductivişi a polimorfismelor genelor Cyp1A1 şi p53 asuprariscului pentru neoplazii genitale în populaţia din regiuneade nord-est a României, micromediul medular şi studiulcomplexelor de aderenţă focală în mielodisplazii şi leucemiiacute, fenotipuri inflamatorii celulare stromale în cancerulmamar. Pe parcursul ultimilor 20 de ani echipamentele,tehnologiile, profesionalismul cercetătorilor au evoluat ascendentatingând nivelul necesar înscrierii în fluxul competiţionalinternaţional.Istoria dezvoltării infrastructuriide cercetarePână în 1992 infrastructura de cercetare a fost rudimentară,pe alocuri artizanală. În 1992, o data cu înfiinţarea disciplinei de Imunologie, UMF Gr.T.Popa a finanţat, dinresurse proprii, echiparea de bază a laboratorului la o valoa -Brief Presentation of Research ActivityThe objectives of research lay within the fields of tumoralimmunology and oncology.. The establishment of the TumoralImmunology Laboratory allowed access to grants after 1990and approaching even more complex topics: subgroup,specificity and anti-tumoral activity of NK cells, proliferationmechanisms in malignant lymphomas, apoptosis as aregulating factor of the cellular cycle in renal and mammarycarcinomas , the profile of cytokine secretion in diagnosingand monitoring the development of pulmonary tuberculosis,characterizing lymphocytes subsets at the level of maternalfetalinterface in normal and pathological pregnancy, newcellular and molecular in patient centered therapy of malignanttumors - a genomic and proteomic approach; selection criteriaof therapeutic methods in secondary hepatic cancer:clinical-biological and molecular fundamentals, biologicalconsequences of thermo-necrotizing by means of heatingsteam under pressure in hepatic metastasis of colonic-rectalorigin, the molecular study of the implication of the BRCAgenes in hereditary predisposition of the mammary andovarian cancer in certain risk families in the north-east ofRomania, the study of the FLT 3 mutations in relapses fromof acute myeloid leukemia,. epidemilogical research on theinfluence of reproductive factors and on the polymorphismsof Cyp 1A1 and p53 on the risk of genital neoplasms in thepopulation in north-eastern Romania, bone morrowmicroenvironment and focal adhesion in myelodysplasia andacute leukemia, stromal cellular inflamatory fenotypes inbreast cancer. Over the last twenty years, equipement, technologies,the professionalism of the researchers have beenon an upward trajectory reaching the necessary level of competitivenessin the globalised medical community.The Development of theResearch InfrastructureUntil 1992 research infrastructure was rudimentary,sometimes even makeshift in some places.
