suma asimptota (dupæ ce i-au fost, atîtea veacuri, „motor“), îøi vede<br />

acum acfliunea mult simplificatæ, mult uøuratæ: nu mai trebuie sæ ne<br />

reeduce, sæ ne „civilizeze“, sîntem gata extenuafli de atîta optimism<br />

prost plasat, ne poate întinde o simplæ mînæ scofîlcitæ. Nu mai trebuie<br />

sæ facæ nimic, se poate scuti de întregul efort modernizator panliberal:<br />

capitalism færæ modernizare, epocalæ decuplare istoricæ. „Merge<br />

øi aøa!“ Chiar mai bine!<br />

Dar de ce ar trebui sæ ne mai torturæm cu probleme, sæ ne facem,<br />

nebuneøte, probleme, nu ne va fi înflelepflit, oare, în fine, Istoria? De<br />

ce ar trebui sæ luptæm în loc sæ træim pur øi simplu, sæ ne læsæm, beatific,<br />

træifli (e mai simplu!), sæ træim natural artificialitatea sistemului?<br />

Dupæ atît chin øi stres, dupæ atîta torsiune istoricæ, am intrat, în sfîrøit,<br />

în EPOCA SIMPLIFICÆRII.<br />

Nu asistæm, oare, la supremul triumf al înflelepciunii vieflii? Øi aceasta<br />

chiar dacæ – o condiflie inevitabilæ – simplificarea presupune artificializare,<br />

simulacre? Dacæ ne e mai bine cu simulacre, de ce nu le-am prefera?<br />

Estul, zonele marginal-integrate, în general, se regæsesc (øi evidenfliazæ<br />

„fenomenologic“) macrocondiflia existenflialæ a consumatorului, a omului-consumator,<br />

a omului care nu poate, de fapt, produce decît simulînd<br />

producflia, de fapt doar consumînd.<br />

Am fost øi am ræmas, aici, doar importatori øi consumatori de istorie,<br />

øi tocmai acesta se dovedeøte a fi, acum, adeværul adeværat despre<br />

om: cæ nu poate produce, cæ nu poate decît consuma. Iar cînd nu mai<br />

este nimic natural de consumat, producflia va simula producerea øi vom<br />

continua sæ consumæm, chiar dacæ lucruri artificiale, bunuri simulate.<br />

Cæci, sæ fim serioøi: capitalismul se aflæ în faza în care se întoarce împotriva<br />

lui însuøi, împotriva prezumatei sale condiflii, piafla, pe care o sacrificæ,<br />

acum, pentru a putea supravieflui.<br />

NU EXISTÆ PRODUCfiIE!<br />

NU EXISTÆ DECÎT CONSUM!<br />

Capitalismul actual se autosacrificæ, dezvæluindu-øi „esenfla færæ de esenflæ“,<br />

pe care pînæ de curînd reuøise s-o disimuleze istoric prin propriile<br />

forfle øi cu ajutorul nesperat al „duømanilor“ sau al partenerilor de<br />

operæ istoricæ.<br />

CAPITALISM = NON-CALITATE = FALSIFICARE<br />

Capitalismul se autofalsificæ frenetic. Dupæ ce a falsificat lumea, a<br />

ajuns la el însuøi.<br />

Dintotdeauna, capitalismul a evoluat integrînd negativul, funcflionînd<br />

ceea ce-i scapæ sau ceea ce-l neagæ.<br />

PRODUCfiIE = ARTIFICIAL<br />

„Virtualizarea“ bunurilor, a mærfurilor.<br />

Lege: cu cît creøte (øi se rafineazæ) producflia (artificiul voluntarist al producfliei,<br />

producflia ca artificialitate), cu atît creøte (øi se rafineazæ) øi artificialitatea,<br />

falsul.<br />

Aceasta e lege, nu defect. Acest enunfl trebuie perceput pozitiv, nu<br />

negativ.<br />

– the consumer, of the man who cannot actually produce otherwise than by simulating<br />

production, that is exclusively by consuming.<br />

Here, we were and remained mere importers and consumers of history and this is<br />

exactly what now proves to be the naked truth about man: that he/she cannot produce,<br />

that he/she can only consume. And when there is nothing natural left to be<br />

consumed, the production will simulate the producing and we will continue to consume,<br />

even it will be artificial things, simulated goods that we consume.<br />

This is because, seriously now, capitalism reached that stage where it goes against<br />

itself, against its presumed condition – the market – which it sacrifices now so as to<br />

be able to survive.<br />

THERE IS NO PRODUCTION!<br />

THERE IS ONLY CONSUMPTION!<br />

Current capitalism self-sacrifices, unveiling its “essenceless essence”, that it has until<br />

recently succeeded in historically dissimulating by its own means, with the unhopedfor<br />

help of the “enemies” or partners of historical work.<br />

CAPITALISM = NON – QUALITY = FALSIFICATION<br />

Capitalism frenetically self-falsifies. After having falsified the world, it got on to itself.<br />

Since forever, capitalism has evolved by integrating the negative, by circulating<br />

whatever it misses or what it denies it.<br />

PRODUCTION = ARTIFICIALNESS<br />

“Virtualization” of goods, of commodities.<br />

Law: the more production (the voluntarist artificialness of production, production<br />

as artificiality) increases (and refines itself), the more the artificiality, the falseness<br />

increases (and refines itself).<br />

PRODUCTION IS FALSENESS<br />

PRODUCTION PRODUCES FALSENESS<br />

This is a law, not a deficiency. This statement must be positively, not negatively taken.<br />

(Occulted) banality: capitalism seeks to produce nothing more than unlimited profit.<br />

The goods and commodities are the instruments, the paths to this profit, the final<br />

goal of capitalism and of the logic of capital.<br />

In consequence, there is an oblique relation between profit and artificiality.<br />

The virtually unlimited profit is artificial, it cannot be produced other than artificially<br />

and it produces forever more artificiality, that is, falseness.<br />

Capitalism falsifies.<br />

The technological share of falseness unavoidably increases along with profit.<br />

THE DOMINATION OF ARTIFICIALNESS<br />

Attention! I repeat: these are not, as they may seem, value judgements, but “apocalyptic”,<br />

that is to say late, “final” revelations of the artificiality of man, the creator of<br />

prostheses.<br />

For a long history, the human prostheses have been symbolical, “spiritual”. It is only now<br />

that they become massively material, with man “virtualizing”, „spiritualizing” himself.<br />

Capitalism falsifies and artificializes, thus lying, not admitting is in the course of nature.<br />

In our East: the historical meeting and reunion of terminal conditions – as “parousia”<br />

of MAN the CONSUMER – of evacuation, of dilapidation of modernity, which (unlike<br />

in the West) is judged and condemned without trial.<br />
