SUMMARY
Certain aspeets concerning tetraploidization of dihaploid potato forms by
col,chici:ne treat:men.t were studied. From me'thodologk poimt of wiew it was established
that sprouttreatment resulted in a higher numheil' of polyploide growing
tips as compared to the 'tre.a::mlent ofaxiilary meit"listems. Maximum polyploidization
effect w,as obtai:neid wi'th a colchircine soluibio:n of. 0.2-0.5 alPplied for
42-72 hours as 'el fUI1Iction ofgenertical stru:eture of genotype. Besides ,the tetraploird
forms, the co.lchidne tr{:~atment ireSiulted in ,a 'compilete sedes of peridinal
chdmaera (2 n = 2 3 = 8). Polyploidization iresulted in the modificaition of mai!;!
morphalog.itCial char.aders of diihalpiloid forms whose aSlped belc'ame tipicalJy tetraiploJd;
tuber yield i:nc~eased very much on ,account of t'Uibe:r sine inlare:lse
