TECHNOLOGY OF SPOT TREAJTMENT WITH FERTILIZERS APPLIED AT POTiATO PLANTING CON'CURRENTLY W,I,TH THE CULTURAL PRACTIC'ES SUMMARY Experiments were conducted during 1968 - 1972 at the Research Institute for Potato and Beet Growing (R 1 P B), Braşovand Livada Experiment Station, in order to establish the tfertilizerapplioatiion technology. The results evidenced the efficiency of complex Ichemi:eal fertilizers 23: 23 : O, applied inthe levels of 150 .~gjha on the humic half gley soU of R 1 P (B - Br:aşov as well as in the levels of 100 - 200 kg/ha on rthe Liv:ada podZJolic saH in order to increase the potalo yie1ds. At R II P B - Braşov SiPot treatmeut wHh Ichemkal fertilizers resulted in yieIds which proved to be symHar to thevalues obtained with fertilizer proaidicasti,ng; appIkation of the ,cO'ITljplex fertilizer :2,3: 23 : O at Livada on a br'Uwn forelst, medium podzolized soH, resulted in significant yield increases in case oÎ spot treatment. As \concerning the effkiency of the two fertilizer types, te. the singleand complex fertilizers a symilar efficiency was noted in case of equivalent active ingredient levels; the split,ting of total fertiEzer levels and their application at different stages did not result in yield incr:eases. Among the iOompared application methods of single and complex fertilizers, best results were uoted in case of side dressings, 5 cmabove the tubersi.e. when a soU layer was interposed between fertilizer and tubers.
