PELL AMAR, BETWEEN EVIDENCE-BASED MEDICINE AND COMPLEMENTARY
THERAPIES
Larisa Ionescu-Călineşti, internal medicine physician, certified apiphytotherapy
The last few years have witnessed an important evolution of complementary and integrative
medicine , based on a holistic approach towards the patient, using natural remedies and personalized
treatment. The Pell Amar mud extract is a product obtained through the processing of mud from lake
Balta Alba , Buzau region. The mud’s positive effects , which are anti-inflammatory , analgesic and
trophic , have been well documented by clinical studies taking place in universities and spas, in the
country and abroad. Lacking any adverse effects, being obtained through an original method of extraction
, exclusively through physical means , Pell Amar represents a natural alternative to anti-inflammatory
treatments (inhibits the inflammatory process by 54%, compared to 56% - fenilbutazone), also having
analgesic, sedative and biotrophic–regenerative effects. At the National Institute of Complementary and
Alternative Medicine “Prof dr. Florin Brătilă” the extract was used in combined treatments with
acupuncture , phytotherapy , homeopathy – in rheumatic diseases, post-traumatic locomotory disorder,
polyneuropathies, skin conditions, peripheral circulatory disorders with very good results and tolerability.
Introducere: Prezenta acidului carbonic in apele carbogazoase mareste puterea de dizolvare,
astfel incat apele carbogazoase sunt adesea ape mixte (bicarbonatate, clorurate sodice, sulfuroase, etc).
Apa minerala carbogazoasa a izvorului nr 1 Borsec a fost studiata intens pana in anii 90, aceasta avand
efect de scadere glicemiilor la pacientii diabetici. Sindromul metabolic este incriminat in cresterea
lotul A va primi apa minerala carbogazoasa, lotul B va primi apa plata Borsec, lotul C va primi apa
simpla de la robinet. Pacientii vor primi apa in cantitate progresiv crescuta timp de 3 saptamani.
Interleukina 6, PCR inalta sensibilitat, Glicemie, Colesterol (total, LDL, HDL), trigliceride, acid uric,
fibrinogen.
determinand scaderea acesteia. De asemeni creste eliminarea urinara de acid uric. Daca are efect si asupra
demonstrat.
Concluzii: Apa este prezenta in alimentatia zilnica a oricarui om.
CHRENOTHERAPY WITH CARBOGASEOUS MINERAL WATER
FOR PATIENTS WITH METABOLIC SYNDROME
Gina Galbeaza, Delia Cinteza, Daniela Poenaru,
Victorita Marcu, Simona Popescu, Sebastian Diaconescu
Introduction: The presence of carbonic acid in carbogaseouse water increases the power of
disolvation, carbogaseous water beeing frequently mixed (bicarbonatated, sodium chloride, sulphurouse
etc). The carbogaseouse mineral water from Borsec, nr 1 spring was intensively studied before ’90, its
effect being on decreasing the level of glicemia in diabetics. The metabolic syndrome has been
incriminated in increasing the risk of cardiac ischaemic disease and cerebrovascular disease. The present
study wants to demonstrate if the chrenotherapy with carbogaseous mineral water from Borsec, nr 1
spring, influences the components of metabolic syndrome.
