and phy<strong>si</strong>cal activities that are happen in the two mediums. Matherial and methods. We have<br />
ma<strong>de</strong> a transversal study at schoolchildren from I-VIII classes in Gura Raului school and in 4<br />
schools from Sibiu who were weighting and heighting measured. We cal<strong>cu</strong>lated medium<br />
values on years and kinds both pupils from rural medium and those of urban medium, that<br />
were compared with national standards for each medium. The results were statisticaly<br />
analyzed. Results. There were taking in study 2299 pupils with age between 8 and 15 years,<br />
1117 boys and 1182 girls. 341 were from rural medium and 1959 from urban medium. The<br />
Medium hight of boys and girls of 8 years old from Gura Raului was <strong>si</strong>gnificant smaller in<br />
<strong>si</strong><strong>de</strong> national standards (p< 0,001). Height of boys from Sibiu is un<strong>de</strong>r national standards<br />
