Coeficientul <strong>de</strong> dilatare termica este insa <strong>de</strong>pen<strong>de</strong>nt doar <strong>de</strong> continutul <strong>de</strong> fier si mai<br />

putin <strong>de</strong> nucleatori. Figura 1 arata o crestere a coeficientului <strong>de</strong> dilatare termica pe<br />

masura ce creste continutul <strong>de</strong> fier, datele experimentale aparand grupat atat pentru<br />

probele sarace ca si pentru cele bogate in fier.<br />

IV.3.2. Difractie <strong>de</strong> raze X<br />

Datele <strong>de</strong> difractie <strong>de</strong> raze X (Fig. 2) prezinta existenta unui intens proces <strong>de</strong><br />

cristalizare in toate probele atestand prin aceasta eficienta nucleatorilor si a<br />

tratamentului termic aplicat. In toate cazurile magnetita este fie faza dominanata fie<br />

singura faza cristalizata. Unele urme <strong>de</strong> hematita (α-Fe2O3) pot fi <strong>de</strong>celate doar in<br />

probele BSF-1 si BSF-2 in care SiO2 este dominant si s-a folosit in calitate <strong>de</strong> nucleator<br />

Cr2O3. In plus, MgO care s-a folosit in BSF-2 poate fi <strong>de</strong> asemenea un motiv pentru<br />

formarea hematitei intrucat Mg 2+ intra in competitie cu Fe 2+ .<br />
