3) Implementarea unor noi meto<strong>de</strong> spectroscopice performante<br />

cu <strong>de</strong>tecţie moleculară amplificată plasmonic, ca<br />

<strong>de</strong> exemplu: spectroscopia Raman <strong>de</strong> tip SERS (Surface<br />

Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy), spectroscopia IR <strong>de</strong> tip<br />

SEIRA (Surface Enhanced IR Absorption), fluorescenţă amplificată<br />

MEF (Metal-Enhanced Fluorescence) şi senzoristică<br />

plasmonică <strong>de</strong> tip LSPR (Localized Surface Plasmon<br />

Resonance).<br />

4) Implementarea unor aplicaţii biomedicale cu impact<br />

în nanomedicină bazate pe proprietăţile optice, chimice şi<br />

termice ale nanoparticulelor <strong>de</strong> aur în <strong>de</strong>tecţia şi tratamentul<br />

la nivel celular al cancerului (hipertermie locală indusă<br />

laser) sau în evaluarea profilului <strong>de</strong> toxicitate a nanoparticulelor<br />

în medii celulare (în colaborare).<br />

5) Dezvoltarea <strong>de</strong> noi mo<strong>de</strong>le şi meto<strong>de</strong> <strong>de</strong> calcul riguros<br />

al câmpului electromagnetic a nanoparticulelor rezonante<br />

în câmp laser.<br />

Putem afirma că Centrul <strong>de</strong> Nanobiofotonică și Microspectroscopie<br />

Laser este în prezent nu numai continuatorul<br />

unei bogate tradiţii <strong>de</strong> cercetare în domeniul<br />

spectroscopiei optice dar şi un centru promotor care a introdus<br />

şi extins sfera tematică a cercetărilor în domeniul<br />

nanoştiinţelor şi nanotehnologiilor la Universitatea Babeş-<br />

Bolyai.<br />

Istoria <strong>de</strong>zvoltării infrastructurii<br />

<strong>de</strong> cercetare<br />

Deşi activitatea <strong>de</strong> cercetare ştiinţifică în domeniul spectroscopiei<br />

optice şi în special al spectroscopiei vibrationale<br />

prin metoda Raman are o lungă tradiţie la Universitatea<br />

Babeş-Bolyai, aşa ca în cazul majorităţii laboratoarelor universitare,<br />

şi aici s-a simţit o acută necesitate <strong>de</strong> a aduce infrastructura<br />

şi tematica <strong>de</strong> cercetare la nivel internaţional. În<br />

anul 2002 s-a înfiinţat Centrul <strong>de</strong> Nanobiofotonică si Microspectroscopie<br />

Laser condus <strong>de</strong> Prof. dr. Simion Aştilean<br />

prin alocarea unor spaţii <strong>de</strong> cercetare a<strong>de</strong>cvate în recent creatul<br />

pe atunci Institut <strong>de</strong> Cercetări Experimentale Interdisciplinare.<br />

În anii urmatori s-au câştigat mai multe granturi şi<br />

proiecte (grant intern al UBB, CNCSIS tip A, CEEX,<br />

CNCSIS tip IDEI) prin care au fost achiziţionate treptat<br />

echipamente <strong>de</strong> ultimă generaţie, după cum urmează:<br />

1. Microscop Raman Confocal cu scanner cuplat cu un<br />

modul <strong>de</strong> Microscopie <strong>de</strong> Forţă Atomică (Mo<strong>de</strong>l alpha300,<br />

Witec, Germany). Microscopul optic este echipat cu 4 obiec-<br />

It can be said that The Nanobiophotonics and Laser Microspectroscopy<br />

Center represents at Babes-Bolyai University<br />

not only the continuation of rich tradition in optical<br />

spectroscopy but also an important performer and promoter<br />

for research in nanoscience and nanotechnology.<br />

Presentation of the Developed<br />

Research Infrastructure<br />

Despite the fact that the scientific research activity in<br />

optical spectroscopy and, in particular, in Raman spectroscopy<br />

at Babes-Bolyai University has a long tradition, as<br />

in the case of other university laboratories, a strong need for<br />

new research infrastructure and topics become evi<strong>de</strong>nt after<br />

1989. The Nanobiophotonics and Laser Microspectroscopy<br />

Center was created in 2002 by allocating rooms in the new<br />

building of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Experimental<br />

Research. Subsequently, a number or research projects and<br />

grants (CNCSIS – A, CEEX, CNCSIS – I<strong>de</strong>as, Babes-Bolyai<br />

University, etc) have allowed to finance the following equipments:<br />

1) Scanning Confocal Raman Microscope coupled with<br />

Atomic Force Microscope (Alpha300 mo<strong>de</strong>l, from Witec,<br />

Germany). The Optical Microscope is equipped with 4 objectives<br />

plan achromate of 0.3, 0.45, 0.8 and 1.25 numerical<br />

aperture and magnification of 10x, 20x and 100x (dry and<br />

oil immersion measurements), including one objective for<br />

AFM in liquids, color vi<strong>de</strong>o-camera, motorized focusing<br />

system, piezoelectric-driven scan platform. Confocal Raman<br />
