Istoria dezvoltării infrastructurii
de cercetare
Granturile în care şi-a desfăşurat activitatea Lect. Dr.
Robert Buchmann nu au fost orientate pe consolidarea infrastructurii,
ci pe dezvoltarea resursei umane pentru cercetare.
Totuşi, în cadrul acestor granturi s-a contribuit prin
achiziţii de echipamente (laptopuri şi imprimante) la dotarea
laboratoarelor de cercetare din cadrul instituţiei gazdă. Pentru
grantul IDEI aflat în derulare, se prefigurează instalarea
unui sistem pentru studii eye tracking aplicate în ştiinţe economice,
bazat pe tehnologie Tobii, al doilea din România.
Resursa umană implicată
Resursa umană implicată în eforturile de cercetare
amintite a fost formată în principal din doctoranzii d-lui Profesor
Dr. Niţchi Ştefan Ioan, şeful Catedrei de Informatică
Economică din cadrul Facultăţii în care s-au desfăşurat activităţile
de cercetare.
Resursa umană a fost antrenată în două dintre cele trei
granturi conduse (primul a fost de tip doctoral, individual).
O importanţă deosebită a avut câştigarea grantului CEEX în
cadrul modulului dedicat dezvoltării abilităţilor de cercetare
pentru doctoranzi, care a ocazionat pentru cei implicaţi
cercetări conectate la ultimele noutăţi în domeniu, participări
la conferinţe internaţionale şi participări la stagii de documentare
organizate la Universitatea Oxford.
Doctoranzii implicaţi în cele două proiecte cu echipă au
fost Arba Raluca, Jecan Sergiu, Mihăilă Alin, Sitar-Tăut Dan
şi Stanca Liana. Primii 4 dintre aceştia au câştigat ulterior
propriile proiecte finanţate prin CNCSIS şi ocupă în prezent
poziţii de lectori.
Ca şi componentă a activităţilor didactice, dl. Robert
Buchmann este activ implicat în supervizarea proiectelor de
cercetare studenţeşti, în scopul descoperirii şi încurajării abilităţilor
de cercetare la studenţi.
Cooperare internaţională
La nivel de cooperare internaţională, Lect. Dr. Robert
Buchmann s-a implicat ca recenzor şi membru al comitetului
ştiinţific într-o serie de conferinţe organizate sub egida
WSEAS şi a stabilit relaţii de colaborare cu organizatori şi
participanţi ai şcolii de vară XML Summer School organizată
anual la Oxford University, unde s-au finanţat prin granturi
două stagii de documentare.

Presentation of the Developed
Research Infrastructure
The research projects managed by Mr. Buchmann
haven't been oriented on infrastructure development, but
rather towards training and developing research skills for
human resourcess.
However, certain expenses have been made for hardware
and software acquisitions for the research labs of the
host institution (laptops, printers and Macromedia software).
The most recent project, involves setting up an eye tracking
system for marketing and usability studies, based on Tobii
technology, which would be the second lab in Romania dedicated
to this field of research.
Human Resources
The human resource involved in the research efforts
consists in several Ph.D. candidates (presently lecturers with
finished Ph.D.) studying under the supervision of Prof.
Ştefan Niţchi Ph.D., head of the Business Information Department
within the institution hosting the referred projects.
The human resource has been trained in two of the mentions
projects (the first being an individual doctoral grant).
An essential factor was the CEEX project for developing research
skills for doctorands, through which the team was
succesfully connected to the latest field knowledge and
methodologies, by participating to several international conferences
and training schools organized by Oxford University.
The doctorands involved in the projects are Arba Raluca,
Jecan Sergiu, Alin Mihaila, Sitar Taut Dan and Liana Stanca.
The first four of them have consequently won their own doctoral
grants funded through CNCSIS.
As part of his didactic activities, Lect. Robert Buchmann
Ph.D. is collaborating with students for student-level research
projects in order to discover and encourage young researchers.
International Cooperation
On international level, Mr. Buchmann has been involved
as a reviewer and member of the scientific committee in several
conferences organised under the WSEAS academic
brand and has established colaborrations with organizers and
participants of the XML Summer Schools hosted annually
by Oxford University.
