Laboratorul de Robotică şi Realitate Virtuală cuprinde
un număr de 20 cercetatori (6 cadre didactice, 2 cercetatori
postdoc şi 12 doctoranzi cu frecvenţă): Prof. dr. ing. Doru
Talabă; Prof. dr. ing. Gheorghe Mogan; Prof. dr. ing. Csaba
Antonya; Prof. dr. ing. Ionel Staretu; Prof. dr. ing. Olimpiu
Munteanu; Șef. lucr. dr. ing. Silviu Butnaru.
Între cadrele didactice 4 sunt profesori - conducatori de
doctorat asigurand astfel coordonarea din punct de vedere
ştiinţific a direcţiilor de cercetare principale (CAD-CAE în
inginerie mecanică, Realitate Virtuală şi Robotică). În ultimii
3 ani au fost susţinute 3 teze de doctorat şi alte 5 teze
de doctorat se află în faza de susţinere finală.
În prezent este în curs de acreditare începând din anul
şcolar 2009-2010, în responsabilitatea laboratorului, masterul
de 4 semestre „Informatică Industrială Virtuală” care
va instrui anual 20 de studenţi, ce vor forma pepiniera de recrutare
a reusrselor umane pentru cercetare în viitor - în special
pentru activitatea de doctorat cu frecvenţă.
Cooperare internaţională
Laboratorul de cercetare Robotică şi Realitate Virtuală
(RRV), face parte din cele doua reţele de excelenţă în domeniul
Realităţii Virtuale din Europa, finanţate în cadrul programului
FP6: INTUITION şi ENACTIVE
FP6 NoE – INTUITION. Aceasta reţea, coordonată de
ICCS (Institute of Computers and Communications Systems)
Atena finanţată cu 6 mil. Euro între 2004-2008 şi are 64
parteneri între care şi RRV, cu implicare substanţiala în WG2.10
„Virtual Reality în engineering” WG2.11 „Augmented Reality”
şi WG2.6 „Haptic interfaces”;
FP6 NoE – ENACTIVE. Aceasta reţea coordonată de
Şcoala Superioară Santa Anna din Pisa (partenerul strategic al
RRV), include 22 de parteneri. Obiectivul general al Reţelei
ENACTIVE este structurarea cercetărilor în Europa pentru
noua generaţie de interfeţe om-calculator numite Enactive Interfaces.
În afara integrării RRV în cele două reţele de excelenţă în
domeniu, prof. Doru Talabă este din 2004 iniţiatorul şi coordonatorul
reţelei tematice „EUI-Net – European University – Industry
Network” (www.eui-net.org ) care are drept scop crearea
unui cadru european de cooperare între universităţi şi industrie,
atât în domeniul cercetării cât şi cel al instruirii.
Manifestări ştiinţifice internaţionale
organizate
- „Advanced Summer Institute on Product Engineering”:
este o şcoală de vară organizată trianual. Evenimentul
este întotdeauna organizat în colaborare cu un centru de cercetare
European de mare prestigiu şi reuneşte 15 lectori invitaţi
dintre cele mai reprezentative personalităţi ştiinţifice
din domeniu pe plan internaţional plus un număr de aproximativ
50 de doctoranzi şi postdoctoranzi. Evenimentul are o
natură duală de Conferinţă şi Training având o durată de o
săptămână. Lecturile invitate ca şi o selecţie a contribuţiilor
sunt apoi publicate într-un volum editat de editura Springer.
Prima ediţie a avut loc la Sinaia în 2004, iar a doua ediţie la
Chania (Grecia) în 2007;
- Conferinţa anuală EUE-Net – European University Enterprise
Network aflată la a 5-a ediţie dedicată dezvotării
cooperării cu întreprinderile atât în domeniul educaţiei cât
şi în domeniul cercetării şi inovării;
- Simpozionul de Roboţi Industriali organizat bianual,
care a fost găzduit de către grupul de Robotică de la Braşov
de trei ori până în prezent;
- Conferinţa Internaţională RAAD care are loc în 2009
la Braşov, având ca organizator laboratorul de Robotică şi
Realitate Virtuală.
Human Resources
The Virtual Reality and Robotics Laboratory includes a
number of 20 researchers (6 teachers, 2 postdoctoral researchers
and 12 full time PhD students): Prof. Dr. Ing. Doru
Talaba; Prof. Dr. Ing. Gheorghe Mogan; Prof. Dr. Ing. Csaba
Antonya; Prof. Dr. Ing. Ionel Staretu; Prof. Dr. Ing. Olimpiu
Munteanu; Sef lucr. dr. ing.Silviu Butnaru.
Among the teachers there are 4 professors that supervise
PhD Students, thus assuring the scientific coordination
of the main research directions (CAD-CAE in the Mechanical
engineering, Virtual Reality and Robotics). During the
last 3 years 3 PhD theses were presented and another 5 PhD
theses are to be presented shortly.
For the time being, a 4 semestres Master entitled „Virtual
Industrial Informatics” is to be accredited starting with
the academic year 2009-2010. It is under the responsibility
of the laboratory and it will gather 20 students annually. They
are to be the future human resources recruitment nursery for the
research, especially for the full time PhD activity.
International Cooperation
The Robotics and Virtual Reality (RRV) is included in
the 2 Networks of excellence in the field of Virtual Reality
in Europe, funded in the frame of FP6: Intuition and Enactive
program.
FP6 NoE – Intuition. This network, coordinated by
ICCS (Institute of Computers ans Communication Systems)
Athens, funded with 6 mil.euro in 2004-2008 has 64 partners,
RRV included, with a substantial implication in
WG2.10 „Virtual Reality in engineering”, WG2.11 „Augmented
Reality” and WG2.6 „Haptic interfaces”;
FP6 NoE – ENACTIVE. This network, coordinated
by the Superieur School Santa Anna in Pisa (a strategic partner
of RRV) includes 22 partners. The general aim of the
ENACTIVE Network is to structure the European research
for the new generation of human-machine interfaces named
Enactive Interfaces.
Besides the integration of RRV into the 2 networks of
excellence in the field, prof. Doru Talaba has been starting
with 2004 the initiator and coordinator of the „EUI-NET-
European University- Industry Network” (www.eui-net.org)
which has the goal to create a European frame of cooperation
between universities and industry, in the research and training
fields.
International Scientific Events
Organized
- "Advanced Summer Institute on Product Engineering”:
this summer school is organized once every three years. The
event is always organized in collaboration with a prestigious
European research centre and it brings together 15 lectors,
who are some of the most representative personalities in the
science domain on an international level, and a number of
approx. 50 post-graduates. The event is both a conference
and a training and it lasts for one week. The guest lectures
and the selected contributions are then published in a volume
at Springer Publishing House. The first edition took
place in Sinaia in 2004 and the second one took place in
Chania (Greece) in 2007;
- The Annual EUE-Net – European University Enterprise
Network Conference: the 5th edition is dedicated to the
evolution of cooperation with the enterprises, both in the
field of education and in that of research and innovations;
- The Industrial Robots Symposium: takes place
bianually year; the group of Robotics from Brasov has
organized this event three times up to now;
- The RAAD International Conference: takes place in
2009 in Brasov; it is organized by the Robotics and Virtual
Reality Laboratory.
