Aceste date clinice pot fi corelate semnificativ cu potenţiali markeri biologici pentru
comportamentul suicidar: nivel scăzut al L-triptofanului, scăderea 5-HIAA în LCR şi nivel MAO
plachetar scăzut.
Evaluarea riscului de comportament suicidar rămâne o problemă mereu actuală, iar metodologia
propusă de noi în scopul obiectivării acestuia permite instituirea unor măsuri de profilaxie primară sau
secundară, bazată pe elemente obiective neurobiologice şi psihofarmacologice.
