- The influence of morphological characteristics of spruce tone wood on the
structural quality of the wood;
- The influence of structural defects on the quality of the tone wood;
- The impact of structural defects on the sorting of tone wood, the definition
of size classes for some flaws;
- Distribution of resin pockets in stems of spruce trees and their impact on the
quality of spruce tone wood (logging research, raw and semi-finished wood
pieces of spruce tone wood);
- The existence of the bark color features of spruce, as measured by the space
CIELab color;
- The existence of morphological features of spruce tone wood;
In Chapter 7 are presented several proposals aimed at ensuring the sustainable
management of spruce tone wood, with reference both to the forestry sector, and at the
wood industry. The last chapter summarizes research findings and personal
contributions of the author.
