O nome <strong>do</strong> computa<strong>do</strong>r é um nome que o computa<strong>do</strong>r usa <strong>para</strong> se i<strong>de</strong>ntificar<br />

em uma re<strong>de</strong> ou um <strong>do</strong>mínio. Em um ambiente <strong>de</strong> gerenciamento<br />

centraliza<strong>do</strong>, um <strong>do</strong>mínio <strong>do</strong> <strong>ARCserve</strong> po<strong>de</strong> consistir em um servi<strong>do</strong>r principal<br />

e um ou mais servi<strong>do</strong>res integrantes, ou um servi<strong>do</strong>r autônomo. Quan<strong>do</strong> o <strong>CA</strong><br />

<strong>ARCserve</strong> <strong>Backup</strong> é instala<strong>do</strong> os nomes <strong>do</strong> <strong>do</strong>mínio <strong>do</strong> ARcserve, o nome <strong>do</strong><br />

computa<strong>do</strong>r <strong>do</strong> servi<strong>do</strong>r principal e os nomes <strong>do</strong>s computa<strong>do</strong>res <strong>do</strong>s servi<strong>do</strong>res<br />

integrantes são estabeleci<strong>do</strong>s.<br />

O <strong>CA</strong> <strong>ARCserve</strong> <strong>Backup</strong> usa os nomes <strong>do</strong>s computa<strong>do</strong>res <strong>do</strong> servi<strong>do</strong>r principal<br />

e <strong>do</strong>s servi<strong>do</strong>res integrantes <strong>para</strong> estabelecer comunicação entre os<br />

servi<strong>do</strong>res. O <strong>CA</strong> <strong>ARCserve</strong> <strong>Backup</strong> especifica o nome <strong>do</strong> computa<strong>do</strong>r <strong>do</strong><br />

servi<strong>do</strong>r principal no arquivo <strong>de</strong> configuração Discovery.cfg. O arquivo <strong>de</strong><br />

configuração Discovery.cfg resi<strong>de</strong> no servi<strong>do</strong>r principal e nos servi<strong>do</strong>res<br />

integrantes.<br />

servi<strong>do</strong>r principal po<strong>de</strong>m ser diferentes. No entanto, nenhum <strong>do</strong>s nomes po<strong>de</strong><br />

exce<strong>de</strong>r 15 bytes. Um nome com o total <strong>de</strong> 15 bytes equivale a<br />

aproximadamente 7 a 15 caracteres.<br />

Quan<strong>do</strong> um nome <strong>do</strong> computa<strong>do</strong>r <strong>do</strong> servi<strong>do</strong>r principal ou <strong>do</strong>s servi<strong>do</strong>res<br />

integrantes é altera<strong>do</strong>, os servi<strong>do</strong>res não po<strong>de</strong>m se comunicar no <strong>do</strong>mínio <strong>do</strong><br />

<strong>ARCserve</strong>.<br />

Em um <strong>do</strong>mínio <strong>do</strong> <strong>ARCserve</strong>, os seguintes cenários existem quan<strong>do</strong> o nome<br />

<strong>do</strong> computa<strong>do</strong>r <strong>de</strong> um servi<strong>do</strong>r <strong>do</strong> <strong>ARCserve</strong> é altera<strong>do</strong>.<br />

■ O nome <strong>do</strong> computa<strong>do</strong>r <strong>do</strong> servi<strong>do</strong>r principal em um <strong>do</strong>mínio <strong>do</strong> <strong>ARCserve</strong><br />

foi altera<strong>do</strong>.<br />

Para garantir que o servi<strong>do</strong>r principal e os servi<strong>do</strong>res integrantes possam<br />

<strong>ARCserve</strong> foi altera<strong>do</strong>.<br />
