27. Interoperability is the ability to share and exchange information using common syntax and<br />

semantics to meet an application-specific functional relationship through the use of a common<br />

28. In a purely technological perspective, interoperability concerns the ability of two or more ICT<br />

assets (hadware devices, communications devices or software components) to easily or<br />

automatically work together. In a business perspective, the previous definition expands to include<br />

the ability of two or more business processes, or services, to easily or automatically work together.<br />
