No MOU com a Escola Doerr de Sustentabilidade
de Stanford, a Suzano apoiará a pesquisa,
educação e capacitação na universidade. As duas
organizações atuarão em conjunto na busca por
oportunidades de promover seus objetivos em
comum relativos à sustentabilidade. Em paralelo,
a Suzano firmou parceria de 5 anos com a IUCN
(International Union for Conservation of Nature),
a maior e mais diversa rede ambiental do mundo,
que representa mais de 1.500 membros, incluindo
governos, grupos ambientais e organizações indígenas.
PARCERIA FIRMADA
A companhia atuará com a IUCN para desenvolver
sua própria estratégia referente à natureza,
além de convocar seus principais públicos de
relacionamento a compartilharem conhecimento e
melhores práticas, ajudando a impulsionar as ações
da iniciativa privada sobre a natureza. Isso incluirá a
definição de metas mensuráveis que demonstrem as
contribuições da Suzano para um mundo que seja
benéfico para a natureza, além da participação em
diversos eventos internacionais importantes, como
a Conferência de Biodiversidade da ONU, que
será realizada este ano na Colômbia, o Congresso
Mundial de Conservação da IUCN, a ser realizado
In the MOU with Stanford’s Doerr School of Sustainability,
Suzano will support research, education,
and training at the university. The two organizations
will work together to find opportunities to promote
their shared sustainability goals. In parallel, Suzano
has signed a five-year partnership with the International
Union for Conservation of Nature (Iucn),
the world’s largest and most diverse environmental
network, representing more than 15 thousand members,
including governments, environmental groups,
and indigenous organizations.
SIGNED PARTNERSHIP
The Company will work with the Iucn to develop
its nature strategy, as well as call on its key stakeholders
to share knowledge and best practices, helping
to drive private initiative actions on nature. This
includes defining measurable goals that demonstrate
Suzano’s contributions to a world that benefits nature,
as well as participating in several important international
events, such as the UN Biodiversity Conference,
to be held this year in Colombia, the Iucn World
Conservation Congress, to be held in 2025 in Abu
Dhabi, and COP30, in 2025 in Brazil.
According to David Feffer, Chairman of Suzano’s
Board of Directors, after 100 years of history, Suzano
has learned to take a long-term view and plant the
seeds of the future we want to achieve in the present.
