It’s time to get out of the house.
And Round Lake Vineyards & Winery has
the event to give you the perfect excuse to
get out and enjoy some much deserved time
away from home, where many have hunkered
down this winter.
Round Lake Vineyards & Winery will be
hosting its annual Spring Market event from
11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, April 10.
“This is an annual event that we’ve done
for several years. It’s very popular because
people want to get out and enjoy the spring.
We’ve been lucky and have always had good
weather so people can wander the property,”
said owner Scott Ellenbecker. “I’ll have the
patio set up with space heaters so people can
enjoy the spring. We’ve also completed the
interior remodel which gives us much more
indoor space.”
The event gives people the opportunity to
shop the products brought by local crafters,
artists and vendors all while enjoying the
beautiful grounds of the vineyard while sipping
on a glass of wine or a mimosa.
“We currently have over 30 exhibiting vendors
signed up to display their goods. Guests
to the winery are invited to get a glass of wine
and shop,” said Ellenbecker. “Exhibitors will
be located in both the Winery tasting room
and restaurant building and event Cellar
building.”
People will find plenty of items while they
shop.
“We’ve got vendors showing homemade
crafts to corporate goods. From spices to
soaps, jewelry to planters,” Ellenbecker said.
This event might feature shopping but for
many the day is about much more than that.
“This is a shopping event, but we also see
friends and couples hanging out and having
fun. Many will come in a carload and stay for
the afternoon and enjoy the winery. This is
more than shopping, like many activities at
the winery, it’s a social event,” Ellenbecker
said.
After the coronavirus pandemic, Ellenbecker
has noticed that the Spring Market is
featuring more vendors who unleashed their
creativity due to being cooped up because of
the pandemic.
“We’ve grown this every year except 2020,
of course. We’re seeing more handcrafted
items, boutique clothing and jewelry and
unique ideas,” Ellenbecker said. “That’s a
result of all the creativity that came from the
lockdown in 2020. I’m looking forward to
the new ideas and energy in the room that
comes from an open market setting.” F
