O PRÊMIO EM 2021 | THE AWARDS IN 2021
Triunfar no mundo dos negócios não é tarefa
fácil. Independentemente do setor, o principal objetivo
de qualquer empresa é conquistar seu espaço
no mercado. Inclusive no plano internacional,
caso o propósito e a estratégia apontem para além
das fronteiras brasileiras. Para sair-se bem nesse
processo, é fundamental conhecer a dinâmica corporativa
global – uma virtude que nunca foi tão
importante quanto na pandemia.
A palavra que melhor simboliza os anos de 2020
e 2021 para as empresas exportadoras é, possivelmente,
resiliência. Diante de um cenário caótico, as
organizações tiveram que se adaptar a desafios como
a repentina alta nos preços de fretes e insumos,
o que impactou diretamente os custos de produção.
Por outro lado, foi possível incrementar as receitas
decorrentes das vendas externas graças à valorização
do dólar frente ao real. Ao conseguirem equilibrar
esta balança com maestria, 63 empresas baseadas
no Rio Grande do Sul tiveram seus esforços
reconhecidos pelo 49º Prêmio Exportação RS.

In a historic edition, with 63 winners, the
49th RS Export Award recognizes the
strength of an industry that is driven by
great challenges
Succeeding in the business world is no easy task. Regardless
of the sector, the main objective of any company
is to conquer its space in the market. As well as at an
international level, if the company’s purpose and strategy
points towards horizons beyond the Brazilian borders. To
succeed in this process, it is essential to have knowledge
about the global corporate dynamic – a virtue that has
never been more important than during the pandemic.
The word that best symbolizes the years 2020 and
2021 for exporting companies is probably resilience. Faced
with a chaotic scenario, organizations had to adapt to
challenges such as the sudden rise in freight and input
prices, which directly affected production costs. On the
other hand, it was possible to increase revenues from foreign
sales thanks to the appreciation of the dollar against
the real. By being able to manage this balance with mastery,
63 companies based in Rio Grande do Sul had their
efforts recognized by the 49th RS Export Award.

A edição 2021 do PERS foi celebrada
com um jantar na noite de
23 de setembro, em Porto Alegre.
Cerca de 500 convidados foram recepcionados
na Casa NTX, um espaço
que antes da pandemia recebia
eventos para até 2 mil pessoas. Respeitando
as medidas sanitárias vigentes
– com álcool em gel, distanciamento
e uso de máscara para
circular no salão –, representantes
das 63 vencedoras experimentaram
o esperado início de uma retomada
aos grandes encontros presenciais.
“Todos os processos e protocolos
foram desenhados com base nos decretos
atuais e com um planejamento
criado com a expertise de todos
os envolvidos”, explica Mastrângela
Teixeira, gerente-executiva da Associação
dos Dirigentes de Marketing
e Vendas do Brasil (ADVB/RS), rea-
lizadora do PERS. Os preparativos
para a celebração demandaram nove
meses de organização e envolveram
cerca de 150 profissionais. “Organizar
e entregar um evento assim
representa muito para a diretoria e
a equipe executiva, que trabalharam
incansavelmente para chegarmos a
esse tão esperado dia”, disse, na ocasião,
Rafael Biedermann Mariante,
presidente da ADVB/RS.

Evento seguiu os protocolos sanitários estabelecidos

established by the City Hall of the state capital
The 2021 edition of PERS was celebrated
with a dinner on September 23,
in Porto Alegre. About 500 guests were
welcomed at Casa NTX, a space that
before the pandemic hosted events for
up to 2,000 people. Respecting the current
health and safety measures – with
alcohol gel hand sanitizer, social distancing
and the use of masks while circulating
in the hall –, representatives of
the 63 winning companies experienced
the long awaited return to large face-
-to-face meetings.
"All the processes and protocols were
designed based on current decrees
and with a plan that was created with
the expertise of all involved", explains
Mastrângela Teixeira, executive manager
of the Association of Marketing and Sales
Managers of Brazil (ADVB/RS), the
presenters of PERS. Preparation and organization
for the celebration took nine
months and involved around 150 professionals.
“Organizing and delivering
such an event represents a lot for the
board and the executive team, who
worked tirelessly to reach this long-awaited
day,” said Rafael Biedermann Mariante,
president of ADVB/RS.

Para eleger as 63 merecedoras
deste reconhecimento, o Conselho
do PERS analisou criteriosamente
os indicadores de exportações de
cada companhia. O número de
premiadas, inclusive, superou edições
anteriores – ultrapassando a
marca de 51 organizações, em
2020. “Vivenciar tamanho reconhecimento,
em que podemos
sentir a alegria das vencedoras ao
receberem esses lindos troféus, é
motivo de muito orgulho para todos
nós”, declarou Edmilson Milan,
CEO do Prêmio Exportação RS e
vice-presidente de Comércio Internacional
da ADVB/RS.
A condução da cerimônia ficou
por conta das apresentadoras Cris
Barth e Daniela Sallet. Além da divisão
tradicional por setores de atuação,
a premiação contemplou sete
categorias consideradas Destaque.
São elas: Empresas Comerciais Exportadoras
e Trading Companies; Mercadológico;
Avanço Global; Serviços
de Suporte à Exportação; Serviços
Exportados; Inovação Tecnológica; e
Pequeno Desbravador Internacional.
Presidente do Conselho do Prêmio
Exportação RS, Fabrício Forest saudou
a força exportadora do Rio
Grande do Sul e lembrou que, apesar
dos obstáculos, o estado conseguiu
manter em alta o fluxo com o
mercado externo: “Em 2020, exportamos
US$ 14 bilhões. Somente de
janeiro a agosto desse ano, já embarcamos
US$ 13,6 bilhões. Não
tenho dúvida de que ao final de
2021 o crescimento registrado será
bastante relevante”. O desempenho
positivo deve-se, sobretudo,
ao agronegócio, que responde por
40% do Produto Interno Bruto (PIB)

sejam alvissareiros, Forest alertou
para obstáculos que persistem. “O
Brasil continua no 25º lugar entre
os maiores exportadores do mundo
e há muitos anos não consegue
ter mais de 1% das exportações
globais”, afirmou. Para que o Rio
Grande do Sul ajude o país a alcançar
novos patamares no trade
mundial, disse ele, é necessário reduzir
a carga tributária, investir
maciçamente em infraestrutura
logística e avançar em pontos como
concessões e reformas.

In order to select the 63 winners of
the awards, the PERS Council carefully
analyzed the export indicators of each
company. The number of winners surpassed
previous editions – surpassing the
mark of 51 winning organizations in 2020.
“To experience such recognition, in which
we can feel the joy of the winners
when receiving these beautiful trophies,
is a source of great pride for all of us”,
said Edmilson Milan, CEO of the RS Export
Awards and vice president of International
Trade at ADVB/RS.
The presenters Cris Barth and Daniela
Sallet conducted the ceremony. In addition
to the traditional division by sectors of activity,
the awards included seven categories
considered to be Highlights. They are the
following: Export Trading Companies and
Trading Companies; Marketing; Global Advancement;
Export Support Services; Exported
Services; Technologic innovation; and
Small International Trailblazer.
President of the RS Export Award Board,
Fabrício Forest welcomed the export
force of Rio Grande do Sul and recalled
that, despite the obstacles, the state managed
to keep the flow of exports to the
foreign market high: “In 2020, we exported
USD 14 billion. From January to August
of this year alone, we have already
shipped USD 13.6 billion. I have no doubt
that by the end of 2021 the growth
registered will be quite significant”. The
positive performance is mainly due to
agribusiness, which accounts for 40% of
the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Rio
Grande do Sul. Although the indicators
are encouraging, Forest reminded everyone
of the obstacles that still exist. "Brazil
is still in 25th place among the world's
largest exporters and for many years it
has not managed to have more than 1%
of global exports," he stated. For Rio
Grande do Sul to help the country reach
new levels in world trade, he said, it is
necessary to reduce the tax burden, invest
massively in the logistics infrastructure
and make advances in points such as
concessions and reforms.

TRAJETÓRIA INSPIRADORA
Empresas, como se sabe, dependem
da dedicação das pessoas
que nelas (ou por elas) trabalham.
E é justamente para reconhecer
o esforço de lideranças
inspiradoras que o PERS oferece,
a cada ano, o título de Personalidade
Competitividade Internacional.
Desta vez, a distinção foi entregue
a Caio Vianna, que há 20
anos preside a CCGL. Ao receber
o troféu, ele dedicou a conquista
a todos aqueles que o acompanharam
nestas duas décadas de
jornada à frente da cooperativa
sediada em Cruz Alta (leia mais
sobre Caio Vianna na página 18).
Além de Vianna, outro profissional
de destaque no segmento
exportador ganhou o reconhecimento
de Personalidade Competitividade
Internacional. Trata-se
de Celso Theisen, vice-presidente
do Grupo K1, que não participou
da 48ª edição do PERS, em dezembro
de 2020. Theisen também
subiu ao palco para receber, finalmente,
a devida homenagem.

AN INSPIRING TRAJECTORY
Companies, as everyone knowns,
depend on the dedication of the people
who work for them (or provide services
for them). Moreover, it is precisely to
recognize the efforts of inspiring leaders
that PERS offers, every year, the title of
International Competitiveness Personality.
This time, this distinction was awarded
to Caio Vianna, who has chaired
the CCGL for 20 years. Upon receiving

In addition to Vianna, another outstanding
professional in the export segment
was recognized as an International Competitiveness
Personality. This was Celso
Theisen, vice president of Grupo K1, who
did not participate in the 48th edition of
PERS, in December 2020. Theisen also
took the stage to receive his due tribute.
