Trees that lose their leaves in winter are called deciduous trees, this makes it harder toidentify which species each tree is, but don’t worry, there are still some key clues to look outfor which can help you.Look for branches that are turnedupwards and if you can get closeenough to see, Ash brancheshave black buds like you can seeon this twig.Beech trees have longpointed buds on shootsthat turn upwards.We get conkers from HorseChesnut trees in autumn, so lookfor old conkers or conker shellson the ground.
