de celulose. O volume de<br />
produção de celulose do Brasil recuou 5,1%<br />
no acumulado do ano até setembro em relação<br />
ao mesmo período de 2018, somando 15<br />
milhões de toneladas, de acordo com dados<br />
da IBÁ (Indústria Brasileira de Árvores). No<br />
período, as exportações do insumo registraram<br />
queda de 0,4%, somando 11 milhões de<br />
toneladas vendidas. No mesmo período, aliás,<br />
o consumo aparente de celulose caiu 14,1%,<br />
chegando a 4,237 milhões de toneladas. No<br />
mercado doméstico, as vendas de papel caíram<br />
0,8% no comparativo de janeiro a setembro,<br />
registrando quatro milhões de toneladas.<br />

and it is no different in the pulp market.<br />
Brazil’s pulp production volume fell 5.1%<br />
in the nine months ended September compared to<br />
the same period in 2018, with a total production<br />
of 15 million metric tons, according to data from<br />
the Brazilian Tree Industry (Ibá). In the period, pulp<br />
exports fell 0.4% to 11 million metric tons. As such,<br />
in the same period, apparent pulp consumption fell<br />
14.1% to 4.24 million metric tons. In the domestic<br />
market, in the January to September period, paper<br />
sales fell 0.8% compared to the same period in the<br />
previous year, to four million metric tons.<br />
Also, in the nine months ended September,<br />
paper production reached 7.8 metric million tons,<br />
an increase of 1% compared to the same period a<br />
