Project Lead The Way and <strong>Vernier</strong><br />
Over the years, <strong>Vernier</strong> has developed a strong partnership with Project Lead The Way<br />
(PLTW). We value their mission to empower students to thrive in an evolving world.<br />
By providing a comprehensive curriculum package based on national standards, focusing<br />
on teacher training, and integrating <strong>Vernier</strong> technology, PLTW programs are extremely<br />
valuable for schools integrating hands-on, project-based learning.<br />
About Project Lead The Way<br />
ENGINEERING PROJECT LEAD THE WAY<br />
Project Lead The Way is a nonprofit organization that provides a transformative learning<br />
experience for K–12 students and teachers across the United States. PLTW empowers<br />
students to develop in-demand, transportable knowledge and skills through pathways<br />
in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science. PLTW’s teacher training and<br />
resources support teachers as they engage their students in real-world learning. More<br />
than 10,500 schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia offer PLTW programs.<br />

Determining the effect of heart rate and exercise in the PLTW Biomedical Sciences Program<br />
PLTW Engineering<br />
MIDDLE SCHOOL<br />
PLTW Gateway sparks a joy of discovery and illuminates the<br />
range of paths and possibilities students can look forward<br />
to in high school and beyond. By tackling challenges like<br />
designing tires for a moon rover, cleaning up an oil spill, or<br />
solving a medical mystery, students in grades 6–8 learn to<br />
test their limits and question what’s possible.<br />
SECONDARY<br />
PLTW Biomedical Science students in grades 9–12 step<br />
into the roles of medical investigators, surgeons, and<br />
biomedical engineers. The program’s collaborative, handson<br />
explorations inspire students to make an impact on the<br />
lives of those around them while preparing them<br />
with the knowledge and skills they<br />
need to thrive.<br />
SECONDARY<br />
PLTW Engineering engages students in grades 9–12 in<br />
collaborative, real‐world activities like designing a home,<br />
programming electronic devices or robotic arms, or<br />
exploring algae as a biofuel source. By pushing themselves<br />
to rework and refine their projects, students learn that<br />
both failed attempts and perseverance are key to learning<br />
and innovation.<br />
