Use the <strong>Vernier</strong> Structures & Materials Tester (VSMT), along<br />
with the engineering design method, to design, build, and<br />
test structures. You can also conduct bridge competitions,<br />
as well as investigate and analyze beam designs and material<br />

VSMT-TRUSS<br />
The Truss Tester Accessory attaches to the <strong>Vernier</strong><br />
Structures & Materials Tester (VSMT) to measure<br />
the force and deflection of trusses. The Truss Tester<br />
Accessory holds a single truss upright and allows the<br />
load to be applied in a variety of locations.<br />
The VSMT is equipped with a load cell and a displacement<br />
sensor, which enables students to evaluate stress and strain.<br />
Use Logger Pro video analysis in conjunction with sensor<br />
measurements to see how and when things bend and break.<br />
