The methodology consists of a Cu(I)-catalyzed 1,3-dipolar cycloadditionof aryl azides to terminal arylacetylenes (click reaction). All compoundsexhibited liquid-crystalline profile.Keywords: 1,3-Dipolar cycloaddition, liquid crystals, [1,2,3]-triazolesDuring the past decades a large number of liquid-crystalline compounds containingheterocyclic units have been synthesized.
