Um estudosobre Medos e Sociabilidade entre umgrupo de jovens no urbano brasileirocontemporâneo.Mauro Guilherme Pinheiro KouryRESUMOEste artigo busca observarcomo um grupo de jovens reavaliam-seapós ponderar sobre os limites do grupoe de cada um de seus componentes emrelação aos não membros e aos espaçossocietários fora da demarcação defronteiras que definem para si próprios.Parte da hipótese de que a estimativacontínua do grupo e de cada membrorealizada através da relação com umoutro estabelece, de um lado, umprocesso de diferenciação do outro darelação e, de outro lado, que esteprocesso de diferenciação é motivadopor um estranhamento movido pelomedo, seja de contaminação, seja deinvasão e perda de espaço econseqüentemente de si mesmo,indivíduo ou grupo. Uma segundahipótese que orienta o trabalho falasobre o ambiente híbrido da fronteira nointerior do grupo e da ambivalência dosignificado de pertença, - embora omedo de contaminação pelos de foramantenha o grupo coeso e vigilante,parece requerer sempre uma atitude deconstante renovação pela expansão doslimites do grupo, através da inclusão denovos membros e pela readaptação ecelebração que esta intervenção nooutro conduz, - como renovação doslaços e sentidos de assimilaçãocomunitária.Palavras-chave: Medo, Pertença,Fronteira, Sociabilidade, Grupo deJovensABSTRACTThis article looks forobserving as a group of youths reevaluatethe group after ponderingon the limits of the same and ofeach participant in relation to thenon-members and to the sociabilityspaces besides the demarcation ofborders defined as own. It leaves ofthe hypothesis that the continuousestimate of the group and of eachmember accomplished through therelationship with another oneestablishes, on a side, adifferentiation process of another ofthe relationship and, of other side,that this differentiation process ismotivated by a strangeness movedby the fear of contamination or ofspace loss. A second hypothesisthat guides the work talks about thehybrid atmosphere of the borderinside the group and of theambivalence of the sense ofbelonging, as renewal of the linksand meanings of the communityassimilation.Keywords: Fear, Belong, Border,Sociability, Group of Young45
