The detector design is attractiveand unobtrusive.The PIR is easily mounted in thecorner — the preferred location for most residentialapplications. It can be mounted within 1/8-inch of theceiling, from 7' to 11' high.Each unit comes with a corner mounting bracket andfoam spacing tool. Three coverage patterns; 90° wideangle, 90° pet alley, and 6° vertical barrier eachproviding 35 feet of space detection are available.Based on field-proven Sharpshooter technology,DesignLine uses a dual pyroelectric sensor with jumperselectable one- or two-zone detection. It also featuresa sequence processor that combines bi-directionalpulse counting and motion verification; the mostsophisticated signal processing available. An opaque,high resolution Fresnel lens focuses the infra redenergy on the pyroelectric sensor while blocking strayor reflected light.The detector is sealed from drafts and bugs toeliminate false alarms from these sources. It is constructedof fire-retardant ABS plastic and provides asurface for private labeling.continued
