Jivaldo do Rosário MatosANÁLISE TÉRMICA E MATERIAISNANOESTRUTURADOSResearch interests and activities of Professor Matosand his group involve primarily around interdisciplinarytopics of synthesis, characterization andthermoanalytical studies of several kinds ofmaterials.The wi<strong>de</strong> range of applications of thermalmethods of analysis in measuring physical properties,studying chemical reactions and <strong>de</strong>termining thethermal behaviour of samples is of interest to aca<strong>de</strong>micsand to industry. His research covers diversetopics as: a) thermoanalytical characterization ofmaterials (foods, polymers, drugs, pharmaceuticals,alloy, biologicals, etc.); b) <strong>de</strong>velopment of analyticmethods from the thermal analysis; c) new materialssynthesis routes optimization; d) evaluation of adsorptionproperties in porous materials.
