SummaryThe study of insect digestive system should leadto new control techniques. We study the kinetic properties, sequence, structureand secretion mechanisms of digestive enzymes.Among our goals are: 1.Understand how some insectscan feed on toxic beta-glucoside-containingplants, 2.To study the molecular basis ofmicroapocrine secretion mechanisms, 3.Reveal thefunctions of microvillar membranes in different ordersand 4.Add evidence to proposed peritrophicmembrane functions.Publicações:(1) Marana S.R., Jacobs-Lorena M., Terra W.R. & Ferreira C.
