Quem se atreveria a arriscar uma data para o término da vida
útil do papel e sua imensa variedade de aplicação Admitir
esse final de ciclo é improvável para aqueles que conhecem o
empenho da indústria de celulose e papel na procura por inovação e,
consequentemente, competitividade.
É sob essa ótica – de um papel fortalecido pelas inovações em sua
perspectiva futura de mercado – que a nossa Reportagem de Capa
apresenta “As novas faces do papel”. Essa invenção milenar vem se
aprimorando cada vez mais. Passou por muitas mudanças em seus diversos
segmentos e adentra o século XXI com força total.
Além disso, vem ampliando seu índice de sustentabilidade, a exemplo
do recente anúncio de que sacos e sacolas de papel, acompanhados
das caixas de papelão ondulado, reconquistarão espaço nos supermercados
brasileiros em detrimento às sacolinhas plásticas. (Falaremos
mais sobre este assunto especificamente na próxima edição).

, o equivalente a 20%
do indicador nacional”, pontua o secretário.

notice the recent announcement that paper bags, along with corrugated
paperboard boxes, will regain space in Brazilian supermarkets,
replacing the plastic bags. (We will talk more specifically about this
