O vecTest utiliza anticorpos monoclonais desenvolvidos contra a proteína CS (circumsporozoite) dos Plasmodium falciparum, Plasmodium vivax 210 e Plasmodium vivax 247 Vantagens: Fácil de realizar e interpretar; identifica três espécies de plasmódios em uma única amostra de macerado de mosquito; leitura visual em 15 m´; dispensa equipamentos; reagente estável a temperatura ambiente. Desvantagens: custo elevado; não identifica o Plasmodium malariae. Sensibilidade: 100% Especificidade: 98%
