Em tempos contemporâneos em que, como Cao Guimarães nos lembra, já somos
imagem no útero materno, se faz imperativo procurar novos modos de nascermos
na imagem, novos modos de fazer visível, não só o mundo, mas sobretudo os
ritmos que o fazem vibrar. Fome por achar forças vitais, fome por experimentar e
se atrever a transitar na fronteira. Atletismo e esforço dos sentidos por pular a
outra beira onde um novo campo perceptivo nos espera.
Férteis e precários, acreditamos em filmes que sempre estão abertos e à procura,
que se dizem processuais sem se fechar numa forma única. Filmes, onde a alteridade
e materialidade da imagem se afirmam. Filmes que em sua radicalidade
levam o olhar e a escuta a uma marginalização desejada e desejante, que com
cada afeto sônico e cinemático que é experienciado e se diz experimental, faz
com que a expressão na imagem atinja não só uma dimensão intensiva, mas
também ética.
Imagens livres e andarengas que concentram só uma pequena fração do que esta
América Latina experimental nos pode dar.
In contemporary times where, as Cao Guimarães reminds us we are already in the
womb image, it is imperative to seek new ways of being born in the image, new
ways of making visible not only the world, but especially the rhythms that vibrate.
Hunger for finding vital forces, hunger to try and dare to travel on the border. Athletics
and effort of sense to skip the other shore where a new perceptual field awaits
us.
Fertile and precarious, we believe that films are always open and looking, who claim
procedure without closing a single form. Films where otherness and materiality of
the image are affirmed. Films that take in its radical look and listening to a desired
and desiring marginalization, that with every sonic and cinematic affect that is
experienced and it says experimental, makes the expression in the image to
achieve not only an intensive dimension, but also ethical.
Free images and “andarengas” that concentrate only a small fraction of what this
trial in Latin America can give.
