Integram a Mostra “Clássicos do Cinema Experimental... e algo mais” filmes
contemporâneos que, de alguma maneira, já nascem clássicos em virtude da
importância de seus realizadores nos espaços de fissura da linguagem
cinematográfica, terrenos ocupados pelas chaves diversas da tradição
experimental. Com a curadoria de Toni D’Angela, a mostra reúne filmes de
importantes nomes do cinema experimental autoral como Abigail Child, Ken
Jacobs, Leighton Pierce, Peter Huton e Phil Solomon. O recorte conta ainda com a
presença da realizadora inglesa Abigail Child para conversa após a sessão de seus
dois filmes em exibição.
Integrates “Classics of Experimental Film… and something else” contemporary
experimental films that are born classics because of the historical relevance and
importance of its directors in the spaces cleft of film language. Curated by Toni
D'Angela, the program brings together names of the avant-garde experimental north
American cinema as Abigail Child, Ken Jacobs, Leighton Pierce, Peter Hutton, Phil
Solomon and some young filmmakers such as Mary Helena Clark, Jodie Mack and
Scott Barley, names that begin to tread an interesting way for film experimentation.
The program also features the presence of English filmmaker Abigail Child for
conversation.
