The wind generation has become significant in electric generation matrix percent<br />

of some countries, tending to increase. The uncertainty associated with this, due to wind<br />

behavior, impacts in reliability indices of composite systems.<br />

This work presents the development of a composite reliability evaluation tool,<br />

based on Monte Carlo simulation, using oriented object modeling. The main approach<br />

is the representation of time variation components, like load curves and wind<br />

generation. Tests using the IEEE RTS system have been performed and the results show<br />

important conclusions about wind generation influence on power system reliability<br />

evaluation.<br />
