They came from every continent. They crossed
oceans, hundreds and thousands of kilometers, to
arrive at the city of Salvador, Salvador of Bahia,
on the All Saints Bay. At the place where the first
slave auction square was constructed, heads of
state, intellectuals, and artists from nations in Africa
and its Diaspora came together to share with
the world the new thought that writes tjhe Africas
on every continent. A thought which is alive,
contemporary, and inclusive, contributing to the
humanization of the planet. It began on July 11,
2006 at the opening of the Second Conference of
Intellectuals from Africa and its Diaspora (CIAD)
and CIAD Cultural.

A África aqui
Vieram de todos os continentes. Atravessaram oceanos, percorreram
centenas, milhares de quilômetros, até a Cidade do Salvador
da Bahia de Todos os Santos. Na terra onde se construiu
o primeiro pelourinho, chefes de estado, intelectuais, artistas
das nações da África e da Diáspora, se reuniram para mostrar
ao mundo o novo pensamento que une as áfricas de todos os
continentes. Um pensamento vivo, contemporâneo, inclusivo,
contributivo com a humanização do planeta. 11 de Julho de
2006 foi o começo, a abertura da II Conferência dos Intelectuais
da África e da Diáspora (CIAD) e do CIAD Cultural.
