onde se misturassem “iniciados” e práticos. Óbvio que a televisão,
sobretudo canais abertos, poderia transmitir a muito mais
pessoas os conteúdos dos encontros em tempo real. Decerto
que nas cercanias do Centro de Convenções poderíamos ter a
oferta de nossa culinária mais à mão dos participantes, para ali
levando os temperos e segredos de Dinha, Cira, Alaíde, Dadá
e tantas outras.
Mas são desacontecimentos que não subtraem o valor substantivo
do grande evento.O fato maior é que até hoje a cidade
fala, comenta, reflete. E é preciso desdobrar permanentemente
a energia do instante-matriz e transforma-la em políticas públicas
plantadas no chão do real. Promover encontros nacionais
com maior freqüência; chamar o ensino médio à participação
constante; incluir a sabedoria do povo na reflexão.

have occurred in the open air, in large public classrooms

to many more people, the content of the encounters.
Certainly, we could have made our cuisine in the
neighborhoods surrounding the Convention Center
more available to the participants, spicing the event
with the seasoning and the secrets of Dinha, Cira,
Alaide, Dada and so many others.
But these are missed opportunities that do not
subtract from the substantial value of the great
event. The major fact is that the city continues
to speak, comment, and reflect. And it is necessary
to permanently unleash the energy of the
monumental moment and transform it into public
policies rooted in reality. To promote more frequent
national encounters, to call for the participation of
educational channels, to include the knowledge of
the community in the reflection.
