Advances in a balanced economic and socioenvironmental performance
The year 2008 was an historic milestone in CCR’s development, as
it completes ten years in 2009. Guided by disciplined capital and by
qualified growth, we have advanced in the strategy established for
our business, that pursues balance between economic, social and
environmental results, and shares the corporate success, thus achieved,
with its stakeholders.
With the launch of the first advertising campaign – the first in the
business sector – with which we repositioned our brand, giving value to
such attributes as solidity and excellence in services to users, we were
able to draw even closer to our stakeholders, allowing us to generate
even more benefits for them over the coming years. Reinforcing our
visual identity will contribute to supporting a diversified business agenda,
as well as the highway concession industry.
We created more value for all of the shareholders, expanded the level of
efficiency, and strengthened our business model, building on our project
portfolio by gaining the western section of the Ring Road and acquiring
40% of Renovias. In 2008, net profits grew 23%, and we scheduled
the distribution of R$ 544 million to shareholders, as dividends, which
corresponds to 76% of the result obtained during the fiscal year.
We continued our investment program, which has contributed to
increasing safety on the highways, lessening the number of accidents,
and improving traffic flow, thus reducing CO2 emissions (one of the
greenhouse gases – GHG). The efforts of the Group’s work have received
recognition. Four highways that we administrate have been ranked by
