Senai + Design Open House II ENDS – Inovação e Sustentabilidade para a Base da Pirâmide Exposição com imagens em 3D apresentando as implicações dos princípios do design para a sustentabilidade em produtos, serviços e sistemas voltados para a habitação de interesse social. Realizada pelo Núcleo de Sustentabilidade da UFPR, a exposição ocorreu na Rua da Cidadania Matriz, na Praça Rui Barbosa, no centro de Curitiba, entre os dias 1o e 8 de outubro. II ENDS – Innovation and Sustainability for the Base of the Pyramid Exhibition with 3D images presenting the implications of design principles for the sustainability of products, services and systems involved in socially aware housing. Organized by the Paraná Federal University’s Sustainability Center, the exhibition took place at its Rua da Cidadania main office on Rui Barbosa square in downtown Curitiba, October 1-8. O evento foi composto por uma série de debates para promover ações de estímulo à criatividade, empreendedorismo e inovação, nas indústrias, por meio do design estratégico.Os temas abordados foram: A importância do design estratégico, O futuro do consumo: geração, mercado, comunicação e competitividade através do design. Os debates aconteceram entre os dias 4 e 6 de outubro no CIETEP em Curitiba. National Industrial Learning Service (SENAI) + Design Open House Café Philosofique – Design e Diversidade Cultural Design e diversidade cultural foi um bate-papo realizado no dia 22 de outubro, com a professora Maristela Mitsuko Ono, com o objetivo de contribuir para o melhor conhecimento do design francês em Curitiba. Café Philosofique – Design and cultural diversity Design and cultural diversity was an exchange that took place on October 22, with Professor Maristela Mitsuko Ono, with the goal to help engender a better understanding of French design in Curitiba. This event consisted of a series of debates encouraging activities to stimulate creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation among manufacturers through strategic design. The themes touched on were: The Importance of Strategic Design, The Future of Consumerism: Generation, Market, Communication and Competitiveness through Design. The debates took place from October 4-6 at CIETEP in Curitiba. Curitiba 2050 O evento foi realizado na PUCPR, entre 30 de setembro e 22 de outubro, e contou com o trabalho de Ivens Fontoura na museografia. O projeto apresentou uma visão da cidade de Curitiba projetada no ano de 2050, estimulando, dessa forma, a criatividade dos estudantes de design na busca de soluções para problemas das metrópoles do futuro. Curitiba 2050 This event was held at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná, September 30 to October 22 and relied on Ivens Fontoura’s work in museography. A projected vision for the city of Curitiba in 2050 was presented, aiming towards stimulating design student creativity related to solving problems for the cities of the future. II Simpósio Paranaense de Design Sustentável O evento de caráter técnico-científico foi realizado pelo Núcleo de Sustentabilidade da UFPR e ocorreu no dia 7 de outubro, no Campus Reitoria. O simpósio teve o objetivo de promover o debate entre profissionais, estudantes e pesquisadores na área do design sustentável, com foco nos resultados de pesquisas recentes realizadas no Paraná. II Paraná State Sustainable Design Symposium This technical scientific event was organized by the Paraná Federal University’s Sustainability Center and took place on October 7 on Reitoria campus. The symposium’s goal was to promote a debate amongst professionals, students and researchers in the field of sustainable design, focusing on the results of recent studies conducted in Paraná. Mostra Salão design A mostra Salão design foi realizada na PUCPR para apresentar os produtos premiados em várias edições do Concurso Salão design. A realização do evento estendeu-se de 13 de setembro a 31 de outubro. Design Salon Show The Design Salon Show was held at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná and presented award-winning products from several editions of the Design Salon Awards. The event took place from September 13 to October 31.
Mostra Charles e Ray Eames UTP Design – Visões de Futuro O evento foi realizado pelo Curso de Design da Universidade Tuiuti do Paraná (UTP), envolvendo as habilitações em Moda, Gráfico e Produto. Foram realizadas três exposições - Joias de Curitiba, Apocalypticus e Design de catástrofe - e o workshop Modashick, todos na área de Design de Moda. O UTP design ocorreu entre 14 de setembro e 30 de outubro na sede da universidade. UTP Design – Visions for the Future A mostra Charles e Ray Eames reuniu 27 filmes curtas-metragens produzidos entre 1950 e 1982 pelo casal Eames. A importante dupla de designers marcou profundamente o olhar sobre as formas estéticas do pósguerra, influenciando o design mundial até os dias atuais. O evento ocorreu no Cinepensamento, localizado no Paço da Liberdade SESC Paraná, na região central de Curitiba, de 29 de setembro a 27 de outubro. Charles and Ray Eames Show The Charles and Ray Eames Show brought together 27 short films produced between 1950 and 1982 by the pair. These two important designers left a profound mark on post-war aesthetics and their influence on world design continues to this day. The event took place at Cinepensamento (Cine-Thought), located at SESC Paraná’s Paço da Liberdade (Freedom Palace) in downtown Curitiba, September 29 to October 27. Paralelo25* This event was organized by the Design Department at Tuiuti University of Paraná (UTP), involving its Fashion, Graphics and Product Design courses. Three exhibitions were organized: Jewelry of Curitiba, Apocalypticus and Catastrophe Design as well as the workshop Modashick all in the field of fashion design. UTP Design took place from September 14 to October 30 at university headquarters. O evento reuniu uma série de ações promovidas pelo Clube de Criação do Paraná (CCPR), a fim de potencializar os debates acerca do design, realizadas entre 2 de setembro e 29 de outubro. O Paralelo25* contou com a exposição 7 anos de design, o Workchopp Designer do futuro, as oficinas 4x4 Design Inovador e as ações Ponto e vírgula - design comunica? e Arte com design e sustentabilidade. Parallel25* This event consisted of a series of activities organized by the Clube de Criação do Paraná (Paraná Creation Club), aiming to increase the potential of design related debates, held between September 2 and October 29. Parallel25* consisted of the exhibition 7 Years of Design, the Workchopp Designer of the Future, 4x4 short course Innovative Design and the activities Period and Comma – Does Design Communicate? and Art with Design and Sustainability. Mostra Jacques Tati e o design Organizada pela Aliança Francesa, a mostra Jacques Tati e o design apresentou ao público curitibano dois grandes clássicos do cinema francês: Meu tio e Tempo de diversão, de Jacques Tati, ambos considerados filmes “cult” por apreciadores de design e cinéfilos, devido aos seus cenários singulares e visionários. Exhibition Jacques Tati and design Os Modernos Brasileiros + 1 Realizada no Museu Oscar Niemeyer, a exposição trouxe uma rara oportunidade de ver lado a lado as criações representativas de uma série de mestres, na grande maioria arquitetos, que escreveram os pioneiros e mais importantes capítulos da história do mobiliário moderno brasileiro. The Brazilian modernists + 1 Held at the Oscar Niemeyer Museum, the exhibition provided a rare opportunity to view typical creations side by side from a series of masters, mostly architects, whose works comprise the most important, groundbreaking chapters in the history of Brazilian modern furniture. Organized by the Alliance Française, the exhibition Jacques Tati and design presented two great classics of French cinema to audiences in Curitiba: My Uncle and Play Time, by Jacques Tati, both considered to be “cult” films by design and movie buffs due to their unique and visionary scenarios. Rico Lins: uma Gráfica de Fronteira Realizada na Caixa Cultural, entre 24 de agosto e 24 de outubro, a exposição trouxe uma retrospectiva do trabalho do designer Rico Lins, com reproduções das criações do artista e vídeos. Também fizeram parte do evento uma mesa redonda e uma oficina de criação ministrada pelo próprio designer, ocorridas nos dias 22 e 23 de outubro, respectivamente. Rico Lins: A Cutting Edge Print Shop Held at Caixa Cultural Center from August 24 to October 24, this exhibition brought a retrospective of designer Rico Lins’ work, with reproductions of the artist’s creations and videos. Also part of the event were a round table discussion and a creative workshop taught by the designer himself, on October 22 and 23, respectively. 232 233
